Patagonia 100% Traceable Down provides the highest assurance of animal welfare in the apparel industry. All of the down in all of our down products can be traced back to birds that were never force-fed and never live-plucked. How do we know? We hired an independent third-party expert to trace and verify our down supply chain from farm to jacket – and every step in between. Patagonia is the only brand that uses 100% Traceable Down. DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.
