Through her passion for trailrunning, Krissy has had the opportunity to travel and experience the world. She first discovered the trails after studying abroad in Ecuador 11 years ago. She credits the support of her family, the trail running community, her rich life experiences and the open spaces of high alpine terrain for inspiring her to keep moving forward.Career Highlights
- Fastest known time for Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim, 2011 (since broken)
- Winner of the Shinetsu Five Mountain trail race, 2011
- Winner of the Transrockies endurance event (mixed open team), 2010
- Winner of the UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc) and holder of the current course record, 2009
- First place finishes and set course records at the HURT 100 and Hardrock 100 (both course records since broken), 2006
- Fast-packed the 480-mile Colorado Trail in just over 13 days, (averaging 32 miles a day) 2006
- Completed the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning to became the youngest finisher, 2005; currently holds the second fastest cumulative time
- 90 Ultrarunning finishes with 40 female wins and two outright wins
- Race director for the Chuckanut 50k in Bellingham, Washington for 10 years
- Worked with Girls on the Run, an after school program for girls ages 9-12
