Our tough and highly weather-resistant Black Hole® Pack protects your gear from scuffs, scrapes and miles of rough handling. The large main pocket opens quickly with a half moon–style zipper and holds the lion’s share of your gear. Internal features include a padded sleeve that protects your 15" laptop or holds a hydration reservoir, and a mesh pocket equipped with a key keeper and an organizer panel to hold a phone, keys, wallet and all of the small items of everyday life. A large front stash pocket keeps a headlamp, electronic paraphernalia and your guidebook handy. Daisy chain lash points provide multiple options for securing a skateboard or yoga mat, and stretch-woven side pockets keep water bottles, map or a pair of gloves right where you can reach them. Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Black Hole® Pack 30L is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around best backpack for every type of day. I recently bought this backpack and I can safely say, after some hesitation, that it was definitely worth the high price point. It can be your go to backpack for everyday or it can be your pack you take on a day trek, whatever you decide to do this bag will definitely be perfect. Some people say there are not enough compartments but I think there are a decent amount and don’t have trouble finding places to put things. If you’re on the edge about this backpack I say go for it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from forms puddle of water in bottom of pack warning: a puddle of water will form in the bottom of the pack if used in strong rain. I got caught out in a flash rainstorm and had my pack on. laptop and charger in the bag. luckily the laptop compartment is up high and in its own sleeve, but my charger was completely submerged in a puddle of water in the bottom of the pack

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit overpriced for what it is I bought this bag a little while ago, and I really enjoy using it every day. The water bottle pockets on the sides are nice and large, bigger than what I've ever seen on a backpack before. I've never had any of my items get wet on the inside when it rains. A few more internal pockets would be nice, but definitely not a deal breaker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid daypack overall It's definitely a bit overpriced IMHO, but it definitely deserves more than 1 star rating. I'm happy with the purchase and it's a good alternative to the BH 25L if you need more space for your stuff. Organization and build is somewhat similar to the 25L, however, the location of the org. pockets has changed a bit. And really, the official video barely demonstrates the internal organization features... which is unfortunate. The zipper access approach is well implemented here compared to the BH 32L. It's just much easier to access your stuff this way instantly. It's not waterproof, but more water resistant than the average daypacks out there. Also easier to clean. Lightweight. Side pockets are deep enough to carry those water bottles (I had so many backpacks with short side pockets before it's a real bonus). Anyway, it's a good solid daypack for me, but again the price should be similar to the BH 25L price not higher.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great pack bad price I recently got one of thes packs as a gift and I love it. However this thing costs wayyy to much money for what it is. For the value for money proposition I need to give this item a low star rating but it is a good pack. I would recommend anyone who wants this pack to wait until it goes on clearance

Rated 3 out of 5 by from poor internal pocket organization Let me start by saying I love this company, there mission, there products, and I'm a backpack nut! All I ever wanted was a Refugio bag that's been "Black Holed", so when I saw this bag had two major compartments like a Refugio, I jumped on it. The only issue with this bag and really the last 2 generations of Patagonia bags is they continue to provide less and less internal organization pockets for pens, wallet, battery back up, ecables, biz cards, etc. Everyone from 18-40 has a need for more internal pockets with all the tech we lug around these days and this bag only has 2 side by side mesh pockets that seem to be made with a cheap feeling non elastic and very plasticy mesh, next to two pen slots and that's it, which bummed me out. They could at least use the same mesh they are using for the exterior water bottle pockets. The best was the original Blackhole 35L internal pocket setup- 3 pen spots, 1 mesh pocket with a Velcro pocket behind it, and then another pocket on top of a pocket that had Velcro strap. Maybe it's just me, but seems like they could have done a little more like that. People use these bags for everyday work, school, and play, so the internal compartments are very necessary and really the only thing these bags lack in. I also find it odd that there is not 1 image of these pockets on any of there website pages for any new bag!
