Chasing wind swell means, well, wind. This warm girls’ jacket has a wind- and water-resistant 20-denier polyester mini-ripstop shell treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish, plus a wind-blocking polyester plain-weave lining. The full-zip front has an internal wind flap and spandex at the cuff; an adjustable drawcord hem also seal out cold air. Insulated with lightweight and compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco 100% polyester (55% recycled), the Nano Puff® Jacket serves as outerwear in cool conditions or as a midlayer when temperatures drop. The zippered handwarmer pockets have reflective webbing pulls, and a hand-me-down ID label keeps track of the owner.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Insulation

We use PrimaLoft® insulation inside insulated garments for its warmth, compressibility, and soft comfort. While the human body uses energy to stay warm, PrimaLoft insulation uses a patented microfiber structure to help the body retain warmth and conserve energy.

The proprietary ultra-fine fibers of PrimaLoft insulation form a tight collection of air pockets that trap heat from your body and keep the cold out, providing an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. When insulation gets wet, it loses these air pockets and consequently, its insulating properties. PrimaLoft ultra-fine fibers were developed to be water resistant so your insulation stays drier and maintains its insulating properties even when wet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light I bought this for my 10 year old daughter who loves her Patagonia down jacket but looking for something that is less bulky. She loves it. Got her Large..a little big on her but I want her to be able to wear it next year. Great buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good winter jscket Purchased for my granddaughter. Fits well. Not bulky. Only negative is that some of the stitching on the arms is coming out. Returned one and is was replaced. New jacket is doing the same thing but not as bad

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor zippers I have bought four of these jackets and everyone has had zipper issues. I own three in adult sizes and never have had issues. I am wondering if sub par materials are being used with these kids' jackets. The jackets have been for four different kids so I don't think it has to do with "user error". I won't be buying this jacket on sale or not on sale again. I'm disappointed with the poor quality even though they are colorful stylish jackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Daughter loves it! This has been a great jack for my daughter. It is her pick of choice. Keeps here warm. We even use it under her ski parka on the coldest days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep me warm Keep me warm skiing down the mountain (not a ski resort) when it was below 10 degrees and windy. Although I did also wore an OR rain jacket on top of the jacket to cut down the cold wind.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Want to love Bought 2 of these jackets for girls, we love the product but not the quality, like the others ours are falling apart as well, completely missing threading. However, Patagonia will no doubt stand up to their product! Lifetime warranty! So we hope this is just a bad batch and another replacement will live up to the patagonia standards!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Patagonia Quality Bought this coat for my daughter, for casual wear. Coat is literally falling apart. Threads are constantly coming off the coat. I have many Patagonia products that I am satisfied with but this is not one of them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad product Buyer beware! My 3 year old daughter has worn her pink nano puff for < 2 months. The jacket is lightweight, warm and comfortable. She actually loves it. However despite never having been washed the threads in the seams are coming out and the fabric is degrading. My son has the boys version in a bigger size and it is perfect despite the fact that he is much harder on his clothes. Not sure what happened but this piece does not live up to the usual Patagonia quality. Very disappointed.
