Call us neat freaks, but we’d much rather be heading down the trail than back at the trailhead pulling the van apart looking for misplaced gear. The do-all of catch-all bags, our Lightweight Black Hole™ Gear Tote keeps your life organized whether you’re living on the road or running errands around town. Made from lightweight yet seriously tough ripstop nylon with a TPU-film laminate and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish, this tote resists abrasion, protects your gear from the elements and stuffs into its own pocket when not in use. The clean design features a generous main compartment with a simple toggle closure that holds a wetsuit or waders, climbing gear, groceries or your kit for hanging at the beach. And a small stash pocket on the front protects the easily lost details of life—phone, keys, wallet. Durable tubular webbing grab handles add strength and comfort for the long haul. Made from 7.1-oz 210-denier 100% nylon ripstop with a TPU-film laminate and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and comfortable I am using this tote on my trip right now, and I love it. It's great for carting stuff to the gym, the farmers market, and on the plane.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my son wants to highjack this bag! I bought for air travel ....I use it at the beach, groceries, and hauling my Sunday school supplies. It's the BEST bag ever! It was exactly what I was looking for...thanks patagonia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect bag for travel Bought this bag to travel to Australia. The outside is waterproof, perfect for our boat rides to the Great Barrier Reef. Sturdy enough to carry heavy items such as bottles of wine. Fits nicely under the airline seat and great if you want to bring an extra bag to bring home souvenirs. Difficult though to fold back into the pocket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does everything I could ask Bought this primarily for use at the market. The bag remains upright and the wide top stays open all on its own, allowing for quick packing of groceries during checkout, especially those awkward items with leafy tops that used to always catch on the lip of my old flimsy re-usable bags. Also great for beach or pool, where one bag can be used to keep contents dry if placed on a wet surface and the other to keep wet contents from seeping through to the trunk of your car.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from In Merica everything should be bigger! Awesome concept of sturdy bag to go grocery shopping and do other things with it. I really like the fabric and features (Stuffs into its own pocket for easy storage and small stash pocket) , but the size is wrong. In this case bigger is better! For example if you went shopping at the farmers market, your peaches and plum would get bruised and squashed, from try to fit all your little goodies in the small bag. From the video it states you can use it for climbing, but there is not way you can get a rope and personal gear in this 28 litters bag. I think the video was referring to gym climbing and bouldering. Awe I wish the straps were longer too, so when you load it up you can throw it over you shoulder. I will keep the bag, I just hope you revise it, because it is so close to being perfect tote bag .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Size I bought this item for carry on airline travel and it was the perfect size, the only negative is I wish the top of the bag completely closed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nothing special out of this bag. Picked this up as a gear tote for my extra things heading out for backpacking trips. It's fine as a basic tote bag. However, the material is pretty flimsy - the tote does not hold it's shape or stand up by itself (as shown in the product photos). Color selection for these is lousy. Problem with black is you can't see small stuff in the bottom. It's also smaller than I'd hoped for. Patagonia does NOT list the dimentions of the bag on the product page. For what it is, I'd recommend you buy the less expensive tote bags Patagonia offers and let this one disappear...
