bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mr October This is a great jacket. Very breathable, comfortable and practical for any cool mornings & evenings or transition seasons. I don't love the feel of the sleeves on my wrists, but maybe I'm not doing enough with my time and am noticing unimportant things.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just What I Wanted I wanted a light jacket for cool weather. This has fit the bill nicely. The lining is a big help to make the it comfortable. I've been wearing it a lot lately and have enjoyed the comfort. The elastic at the wrists could be a little better fit, but it's not a hindrance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lightweight Casual Jacket I was looking for a lightweight jacket that wasn't a rain coat. Something that was breathable so I could wear it around town most of the year. This jacket fits that need. It's baggy enough so you can wear it over a shirt / sweater / sweatshirt or nano puff vest. I didn't want another rain coat with a hood (I have a couple of those) since you tend to sweat too much in warmer weather. It looks good too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect all-around jacket I've been meaning to find a casual jacket for all-year-round 70-ish degree Bay Area weather and this is it (Spanish moss color). Has a bomber jacket feel to it, but is super light, but insulating. I'm 5'9" 160lbs and I got a medium. Fits great -- just a tiny bit on the smaller side, but not too slim. Someone else mentioned that you could switch between casual and quasi-dressier with this jacket and I couldn't agree more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Casual functional Jacket I love this jacket. Yes its cut a bit large, but not too big. I like that is a casual look and very functional... Wore it in a light and cold rain and it held up well. Like the hand warmer packets and stand up collar. I got it in Turkish Red!! (way cool color) Some Patagonia products look too trendy to me (I'm over 60) This is a classic good looking piece!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All around great jacket I purchased this jacket late last year for work. I wanted something that was light, loose fitting and warm for our damp, cool winters in the N.W. I like its looseness so that I can layer underneath but most of the time I just wear a moisture wicking tee shirt since the fleece is nice and warm on its own. I really like the red color that I ordered and through several washings it has not faded. The 4 star rating is because the knit cuffs on the sleeve have started to stretch a bit and do not shrink down when washed and dried. I am 5' 3 1/2" (and shrinking-age problem) and the medium hangs down to my upper buttock and the sleeves just down to the beginning of my palms. Great work and casual wear jacket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T BUY I'm 5'9 (manlet, yes), muscular ~155 lbs and normally i'm size M in the tops, tees, jackets, sweaters. But this Patagonia Baggies jacket really is BAGGY. It fits like a big L. The fit is very weird, especially for a bomber jacket. The sides are hanging over, waay too baggy jacket. It might fit better someone ta least 5'11

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great casual jacket Great spring/fall jacket for casual attire. Very pleased that Patagonia made a jacket that's a casual lifestyle choice that goes with anything and is extremely comfortable in all settings. I'm 6'1, slender and a large fits perfectly.
