Sir Izaak’s First Law of Fishing states that the better you feel, the better you fish. But who wants to argue cause and effect? Our Cayo Largo Shirt helps with both. In fact, it just might be the most comfortable technical fishing shirt you’ll ever wear. The superlightweight blend of organic cotton, nylon and hemp breathes easily even in stifling heat, while the relaxed style works equally well waiting for Cuban sandwiches or on the search for the silver king. Two front button pockets and a hidden front-chest zip pocket hold essentials securely above the waterline. When the heat’s on high, go with a Cayo Largo and you’ll feel—and fish—better fast.
  • Superlightweight blend of organic cotton, nylon and hemp

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Men's Cayo Largo Shirt is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great shirt...poor fit... Love the shirt, how it looks and how it feels. But I agree with others that it runs small. Definitely doesn't qualify as "relaxed fit." I will have to order a size up for this to fit as it should.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Fit I was excited to receive this shirt as I love the style, but find the all nylon fishing shirts too hot. Unfortunately the XL fit me poorly. I am a 46 R in a suit, so the corresponding size was an XL. It was too tight across my shoulders. Disappointed in the fit, but otherwise it looked great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid all around shirt The color and feel of the material is great. I purchased for the "rough casual" look for travel and appropriate outdoor events. it wears very wrinkly and has no "travel ability" - i.e., roll up, get on site, and through on to be good to go. Collar doesn't keep shape. I'm an XL and fit true to size up top but doesn't taper at all. I go w/ Patagonia b/c its usually built around active folks who should taper around the waist bit. This shirt fits sloppy for me. I'm a 46" coat size and 34 waist, this seems to be 46"/44. String on the chest pocket - unnecessary, looks funny, and can get caught in stuff, but this is easily removed. If you're buying this for working outside or doing an activity in - it's functionally outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Casually cool shirt The perfect casual shirt. Feels as comfortable as a tee shirt but looks much cooler

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great shirt but had to return due to poor fit This was close to a great shirt but the cut of the shirt in the shoulders, sleeve, and armhole was way too tight. This is advertised as a "relaxed" fit but it is definitely not. I'm not sure if this label was overlooked or Patagonia intended for it to be relaxed and something happened between marketing and manufacturing, but if you've got a muscular shoulders and arms, this won't fit you. Everything else about the shirt seemed great. Patagonia, please keep relaxed fit like it used to be. I've actually got old XL sizes in my closet that are larger than the XXL coming out now. What gives?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite The M's Cayo Largo Shirt happens to be the first shirt that I reach for in the closet on very hot days. I have many patagonia shirts, but this is my favorite. It's as comfortable as the a/c shirt and has a zippered chest pocket that can be used for air ventilation. The combination of fabrics is very soft next to your skin. Care for this shirt is the low maintenance of wash

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost a a great shirt Although this shirt is a relaxed fit, it does not fit well and seems consistent with the slimming of all Patagonia shirts. I wear a classic medium but this shirt feels grabby. The sleeves are tight and restrictive. The shirt tail is excellent and I like it much better than a box tail. The collar, the collar, the collar - does anyone at Patagonia consider the collar as anything but an after thought? This collar is limp and useless. It ruins the shirt. A button down, snap or velcro would be so much better. I am keeping the shirt but only because I am tired of spending $8-$12 bucks returning Patagonia apparel for the same issues - fit, quality and design. This is just another shirt - nothing else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Size This shirt runs big. It is a beautiful, well-made shirt, but I just sent back a large and am ordering a medium.
