bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Men's Flying Fish Cotton/Poly T-Shirt is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great fit, horrible tag I have three of these shirts in various colors and graphics. The fit is great if you're slim. I'm 5'8, 140 lbs and the Medium fits great. I concur with the other reviews in regards to the tag. Patagonia screen printed the neck tag, which is awesome, but they tag near the waistline is super long, annoying, and really scratchy. I tried cutting one out of one shirt and ended up with a hole in the seam. Super lame.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice fit, poor tagging The size runs small, but they are slim fit and they fit great when you find the right size. The tags are really long and annoying. If you decide to cut them off make sure you don't catch a single stitch otherwise you will end up with a hole in the side of your shirt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Odd Fit I have several Patagonia shirts and I'm always a Large in the Regular fit and XL in the Slim Fit. I also have this exact shirt from past year models.. All of them have ample amounts of room. I bought this one in the XL and it fits like a sausage casing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slim fit sizing not right The slim fit sizing of these shirts is not right. I wear L in regular fit articles of clothing from Patagonia and this shirt in XL slim fit sizing is like a tube top. The cotton poly blend feels great. Just wish the sizing was better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great T-shirt, BUT horrible tag I love the t-shirt, but can't figure out why it needed a five inch tag inside. After constant scratching I finally cut it out, which undid the stitching on the side of the t-shirt.
