Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Men's Gi Iii Pants - Long is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and cool I wear these pants to garden in on HOT days and they are like wearing nothing at all -- Fantastic when the heat and humidity are wearing me out. I am 6'3" and 33" waist and I found the Large to fit pretty well -- a little baggy (but I'm gardening, not modeling).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hooked by Patagonia again Light, quick-drying with a buil-in web belt. Nice feature. I purchased these pants in the Reno Outlet, using these for wet-wading, hiking, eating dinner or whatever. The fit was good in the waist, sizing was accurate but I had to order the LONG pant, which I rarely ever order. If you are on the fence about length, go longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fingers of steel How do you review something that is awesome but flawed. The fit, material, and color are great. However, the button at the waist is slightly larger than the reinforced button hole. Entry/exit from these trousers takes fingers of steel and patience! Not to be deterred, I called Patagonia. They validated the problem and are sending a slightly smaller button that I can sew on (yes, I know how to use a needle and thread). Message to Design and Manufacturing - work this out! Either use a smaller button or sew a larger button hole. And where's QA in this process, why did I have to discover this?
