Tools, crampons, Spartan rack: Go. Our Levitation Hoody breathes freely, stretches fully and protects against wind and snow to help you float up high-output ice and mixed climbs. A tough yet supple polyester stretch-woven shell withstands coarse granite, while the helmet-compatible hood, with laminated visor and single-pull adjustment, provides exceptional coverage without limiting your vision. Minimalist detailing includes our stretchy Variable Conditions Cuffs, which integrate cleanly with your climbing gloves; two zippered handwarmer pockets above harness line; and a zippered left-chest pocket. An interior wind flap behind the front zipper seals out drafts, microfleece covers the zipper at the chin and the seam behind the neck for next-to-skin comfort, and the drawcord hem cinches from inside the handwarmer pockets. With DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Men's Levitation Hoody is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does It All I live in New England and this has become a go-to piece for backcountry skiing and ice climbing. Water resistant and easy to move around in you barely notice you're wearing it. An added plus is it has a little extra warmth than a hardshell when you stop moving, but breathes well when you start up again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Soft Shell For All Around Use I've owned this jacket for 3 years. It has been an incredibly reliable friend. It makes a great stand alone jacket for cool fall or spring weather, or as a shell over an insulating layer for colder temps. Cuts out the wind well. It's not waterproof, but it's not supposed to be, and it does a solid job of shedding light to moderate rain. I've been climbing, biking, and skiing in it frequently, and it has been very durable. It is also a very sharp looking jacket, and I've gotten frequent compliments on it. The sleeves are a bit long for me when I don't have gloves on, but I just fold them back at the cuff and never notice. The only downside is having to unzip the jacket a bit to put the hood on, but that's certainly not a deal-breaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat! I have had this coat two months now and it is awesome! Living in northern Michigan you need solid lightweight coat for all sorts of random weather! Great for rain, windy days or a cool hike

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great everyday jacket I've owned this jacket for a little over a year. I picked it up in Portland during a rainy day and have pretty much carried it everywhere with me since. I use it for midday skiing. The only problem I have with it would be helmet compatibility. It's light enough to be a good overall jacket. I sometimes layer this with my patrol jacket and then shed as I work throughout the day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Very happy with the fit of this jacket. Not baggy like I've seen with the most recent Torrentshell. Good stretch and long sleeves are always a plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Athletic build with a few extra beer pounds at the moment. 6'5", 235 lbs, 37" sleeve, 46" chest, 35" waist. When my light smoke flash jacket became irreparable, Patagonia stood behind their iron-clad guarantee and suggested the Levitation. I've had it for three or four months now and am really pleased with it overall as a replacement for mtb, climbing, hiking and commuting. Comfy, simple, breathable and water-resistant. The cut is great for my build and the Big Sur Blue is beautiful in person (and I wanted red). I would purchase this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, breathable and sheds water well I bought the hoody first in neon ad had problems with easy staining. I then returned it for the green color which I love. It goes in my pack most of the time and is a great shelter when breath ability is needed during activities. The pockets and hood are sized and positioned well. I am 6'2" and a large fits well.
