For monster alpine routes, trimming your gear to the bare essentials requires calculations. But it ain’t rocket surgery (fortunately), and our M10™ Jacket tidily solves the equation. The soft, pliable, 3-layer waterproof/breathable H2No® Performance Standard nylon ripstop fabric yields surprising durability for its weight while protecting against monsoon-season precip and summit ridge gusts. Low-profile handwarmer pockets sit above harness line and complement the single exterior zippered chest pocket that doubles as a stuffsack (with reinforced clip-in loop). Details include sonically welded seams with the narrowest possible tape, watertight zippers and cuffs that adjust with ultraminimalist hook-and-loop closures. A single pull adjusts the helmet-compatible hood (with laminated visor and simplified cord-and-hook stow design), and a drawcord hem blocks out spindrift backdraft.
  • H2No® Performance Standard shell is built with ultralight, 3-layer, waterproof/breathable nylon ripstop with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • Ultrasonic-welded seams are reinforced with narrow seam tape for superlow bulk
  • Alpine helmet–compatible hood with laminated visor and single-pull adjustment rolls down and stows with a simplified cord-and-hook design
  • Two high handwarmer pockets and exterior left-chest pocket have coated, watertight zippers
  • Self-stuffs into chest pocket with carabiner clip-in loop
  • Minimal self-fabric hook-and-loop cuff closures; drawcord hem
  • H2No® Performance Standard shell: 3-layer, 2-oz 12-denier 100% nylon ripstop with a waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • 266 g (9.4 oz)
  • Made in Vietnam.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

3-layer H2No® Performance Standard fabrics are completely waterproof, windproof and breathable by virtue of an advanced combination of elements: a water-repellent shell fabric and a waterproof/breathable membrane bonded with an ultralight knit backer. The entire fabric package is highly packable and designed for prolonged use in extreme weather.

3-layer H2No™ Performance Standard shell fabrics are coated with DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish that repels light rain and snow. In conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

All products bearing the H2No® mark have been vigorously tested for durability in our 24 Killer Wash.

Men's M10™ Jacket is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and sweet I can confirm what I was told by two employees, this jacket is light and breathes well even in humidity. I purchased this water proof shell for an upcoming trip to Bermuda where I expected humidity and down pours. The weather mostly held but when it did rain this coat was awesome. It didn't steam me like another coat I have, and is exactly design for summer rain showers, not fall/spring like my others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Jacket Bought this jacket after many happy years hiking, backpacking, and bombing around town in a Torrentshell. Love the fit, weight, stretch, hood and look of this jacket. The body and sleeves are longer than the other rain jackets that I tried (Cloud Ridge, Rain Shadow and Idler) making it fit very well for someone 6' 4" and 200lbs. The stretch engineered into the fabric is amazing. Maybe not as stretchy as Rain Shadow, but enough stretch to really change the fit and feel. I don't think I could ever go back to a non-stretchy rain shell. Finally, although the hood only has a single adjustment on the back, combined with the built-in visor it allows me to get a great fit. Highly, highly recommend this jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Jacket, but a frustrating issue. I bought this coat for a Winter Hike, amazing coat and very lightweight but I had one issue with it that causes me frustration. When zipping up the main zipper it runs into a small flap near the top and it is very difficult to zip past that point, sometimes I give up on trying to fully zip the jacket. It does not look like this is a defect but more of an overall design flaw. Aside from that it is a great buy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Durability I've owned this jacket for less then a year. Overall I was impressed by the weather resistance for the packed size and weight of the jacket but I would not purchase it again due to the lack of durability. The primary use of this jacket was for ski touring. I ski the coast mountains so on the ascents, I always would skin in my base layer and only under extreme conditions would I maybe put on my mid layer and rarely the jacket. This jacket was pulled out of the bag for the descents. After less then a month, the velcro straps on the cuff began to fray. Now, the material appears to be quite worn and stretched on the back of the neck and shoulders. I understand that this is a lightweight jacket that was not intended for the high friction caused from a pack but believe that since I was only using it for descents the item wore much too quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent multi-use jacket Attractive, well made jacket for various outdoor activities and casual use. Packs down to very small space. Fabric is very flexible and comfortable. Good outside layer. Size and fit are excellent. Am looking forward to years of enjoyable use.
