These next-to-nothing boxer briefs have a clean, simple design, a low-profile silhouette and the natural anti-odor properties of wool. Merino Daily is our regular fit, everyday Merino baselayer, made for all-day comfort and easy care. Merino wool is naturally breathable, regulates body temperature and stretches. It's also wonderfully soft and naturally resists odor. Our fine merino wool is sourced from the grasslands of Patagonia. We slow-wash it for softness and shrink resistance, without the use of chlorine, then blend it with 48% Capilene® polyester (100% recycled) for durability, quick dry times and moisture transfer superior to that of 100% merino. Features include a brushed elastic waistband and a self-fabric, fully functioning fly. Machine wash cold; machine dry at low temperatures.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Men's Merino Daily Boxer Briefs is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too short for my taste The feel of the fabric is great, but the length just doesn't work for me. The legs ride up under clothing and then you have the awkward situation of trying to pull them down through jeans. I returned mine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor execution The merino wool part is a great high quality fabric. This boxer brief though is marred by the elastic piece at the top that has little to no stretch to it. Its hard to keep them up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good idea. Didn't work out for me. I liked the older fit of these, but they did pill a lot and wore out in the backside before my cotton boxer briefs. This newer fit felt good but slips down whenever I bent over so I didn't keep them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits decent. Comfortable. Worn once and they are comfortable. Will see how they stand up to washing. But..Am satisfied with them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from keeps you dry they do as intended for a merino boxer, I wash them very delicately and only use for long flights/travel, the bunch up in the crotch a bit-I wish legs were a bit longer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great, but wears out extremely quickly I bought this with the capilene version to compare. The merino seems to breathe better, especially in warm weather, and has a more comfortable feel. However, after just over a year of rotating over a dozen pairs of underwear daily, all of the seams have ripped out, and the crotch area is so thread bare, it's completely see through. The capiliene, by comparison still look brand new (which is what I expect from Patagonia...we pay extra for that). Increase durability, and I'd probably wear nothing else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome underwear Perfect fit Most comfortable underwear I ever owned Perfect for activities such as walking, jogging, Table Tennis, Bicycle Commuting, work, blogging, photography, and inactivity :) Stays clean for a few days, so great for bicycle camping and such activities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great for extended trips Pros: its more comfortable than the synthetic boxers over longer periods of time such as backpacking or sea kayaking extended trips. Keeps odors at bay much better than the synthetic boxers. Cons: Does pill a little with use. I only wash it on delicate and I only use these for back country trips. If you're looking for backcountry boxers, these are the best. If you're looking for a set of day to day boxers, I wouldn't go with these.
