Carry one in your duffel when you’re traveling among ancient watchtowers, slip one on for a spin around Adam’s Gulch or use one as a pillow on the train to Monterosso. Worn alone in hot conditions, our lightest-weight Merino baselayer exchanges heat and moisture between your skin and the air to keep you cooler and more comfortable. It also layers easily as part of a system for colder weather. Merino wool is naturally breathable, regulates body temperature and stretches. It's also wonderfully soft and naturally resists odor. Ours is sourced from the grasslands of Patagonia. We slow-wash it for softness and shrink resistance, without the use of chlorine, then blend it with 35% Capilene® recycled polyester for durability and for dry times and moisture transfer superior to that of 100% merino. Features include a self-fabric collar with internal neck tape for chafe-free comfort, full underarm gussets for unhindered shoulder mobility, elastic thumb loops for secure hand coverage, low-bulk merrow seams to minimize chafing, offset shoulder and side seams to lie smoothly beneath pack straps, and a drop tail for additional coverage. Machine wash cold; machine dry at low temperatures.
  • Fine merino wool from the grasslands of Patagonia blended with Capilene® recycled polyester for improved wicking, durability and dry time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We want another! My husband was gifted with a short sleeved version of this Patagonia top. We have been looking everywhere to find a long-sleeved crew version like this, as he loves the short-sleeved one. I can't find the long sleeved version anywhere, although I read glowing reviews here and elsewhere. I hope it's just "end of season" stocking issues, and that they are back next year because if they are we will be buying one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from essential shirt for all my day hikes This shirt keeps me comfortable in a wide range of temps. 48 - 84 degrees. Thanks to merino, cold early trail head times I'm warm. Thanks to the capilene sweat evaopates quickly when the day warms up. I wore this shirt on every one of my 45 HPS summits start to finish this past year. WHY DID PATAGONIA STOP SELLING/OFFERING THIS LIGHTWEIGHT SHIRT? Can only find x-small in the shop? Please bring this back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased for son I purchased this for my son...he is 6' an wears a medium. He has long arms but the medium is perfect. He likes the color and wears at least once a week. He also has a lot of Lu Lu Lemon and likes this just as well...(Yippee...got it on sale)...I do not use dryer, line dry...even though it says safe to do so. Love Pantagonia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant While I haven't had a chance to wear this in frigid conditions, the temps in Florida plummeted to 37 in the past week. I've worn the LW Merino on several occasions in those temps and was shockingly comfortable. Soft, warm and perfectly fitted. When I added the Patagonia Nano Air I was actually too warm. Absolutely love this product and will be purchasing the mid and/or heavier weight for northern trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Base Layer For Running I've had this product for just over a year now & just purchased another. These lightweight shirts are perfect for running in temps anywhere from the upper 30s to low 50s. Sleeves are extra long to cover your hands so you don't have to wear gloves. The fit is slim, as advertised. I'm 6'0 170 lbs and wear 34/35 inch sleeves and the XL fits me perfectly (which for me means not quite snug but not baggy).. After a year and maybe 20-25 washes, my original shirt is still in pristine shape. Avoid putting these in the dryer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for running I have a couple of these that I use for cooler weather running. They work great. Light but warm. Not itchy. I'm 6',1", 163 lb., the medium fits just right, and the sleeves are long enough (yeah).
