When the itinerary has you bouncing between trains, hostels and trails, this lightweight, breathable top will keep you warm, comfortable and welcome among friends. A heavyweight of versatility, our Merino Midweight is a wonderfully soft jersey knit suited to a wide variety of activities across a wide range of conditions. Merino wool is naturally breathable, regulates body temperature and stretches. It's also wonderfully soft and naturally resists odor. Ours is sourced from the grasslands of Patagonia. We slow-wash it for softness and shrink resistance, without the use of chlorine, then blend it with 20% Capilene® recycled polyester for durability and for dry times and moisture transfer superior to that of 100% merino. Features include a self-fabric collar with internal neck tape for chafe-free comfort, full underarm gussets for unhindered shoulder mobility, elastic thumb loops for secure hand coverage, low-bulk merrow seams to minimize chafing, offset shoulder and side seams to lie smoothly beneath pack straps, and a drop tail for additional coverage. Machine wash cold; machine dry at low temperatures.

Men's Merino Mw Crew is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely incredible. I find myself wearing it all of the time; even after getting super sweaty, it dries out and doesn't retain body odor. I love it a little more than the huge love I have with the short sleeve version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy and warm! I have the merino top and bottom. I also seem to be living in them! Its 50 today and I still have them on from last night. I did go up to the xl as the slim L would be tightish. Hopefully it will last along time- as it should at this price! You do get what ya pay for! Serious stitching and thumb grabbers too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've given up my polyester under layer I bought a second and third crew a month ago. They breathe better and are way more comfortable than anything else I've tried as a base layer. I've had my first crew for six months and it went on a four day horse camping trip and a week long canoe trip. It looks like new after many washings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I've ever owned I bought it for my girlfriend and I don't think she's taken it off since. It's warm but light fits well with enough length to tuck in. The thumb loops help with getting others layers on. And most of all it's not scratchy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No bull with Merino (kinda rhymes right?) It seemed like a large investment to purchase some merino wool products but after backpacking and hiking with these shirts the last month, I realize that I shouldn't have second guessed whether it would be a wise purchase. This is all I'll wear while backpacking/hiking from now on. I'm now confident in my clothing as my fiancé and I embark on the John Muir Trail this summer. Quick drying, non smelling, lightweight, functional, comfortable, and simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Merino Wool Crew Review I purchased this piece recently and have used it a few times. Overall, it is just what I would expect from Patagonia, high quality and great design. The shirt has a snug fit, but not too tight. Arm and waist lengths are good. The thumb loops are a nice addition and great for layering. I purchased the wool fabric to avoid the odor retention, so far so good in this category. The color looks better in person than on the website. I will buy other merino wool products from Patagonia in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great base layer I purchased one and liked so much I purchased another one. They are great to wear by itself in the spring and fall light weight and warm.
