The road warrior’s all-season essential, this zip-neck keeps you warm without overheating, makes sure you stay comfortable when you’re on the move and doubles as sleepwear when plans go awry. A heavyweight of versatility, our Merino Midweight is a wonderfully soft jersey knit suited to a wide variety of activities across a wide range of conditions. Merino wool is naturally breathable, regulates body temperature and stretches. It's also wonderfully soft and naturally resists odor. Ours is sourced from the grasslands of Patagonia. We slow-wash it for softness and shrink resistance, without the use of chlorine, then blend it with 20% Capilene® recycled polyester for durability and for dry times and moisture transfer superior to that of 100% merino. Features include a long center-front zipper for venting, self-fabric backing on the collar with internal neck tape for chafe-free comfort, full underarm gussets for unhindered shoulder mobility, elastic thumb loops for secure hand coverage, low-bulk merrow seams to minimize chafing, offset shoulder and side seams to lie smoothly beneath pack straps, and a drop tail for additional coverage. Machine wash cold; machine dry at low temperatures.

Men's Merino Mw Zip Neck is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and well fitted Got this last month and it has been a staple in my wardrobe as it simply works as a long sleeve over my undershirt. Thin enough to not overheat but warm enough to take the bite out of a 40 degree day. Sleeve thumb loops are helpful when putting on another fleece and look to be sturdy enough as I usually snag my thumbs on it when I put it on. I have not done long term testing with a backpack so I cannot speak to the durability, but seams are solidly stitched and look to hold up well. Funny story- because this is thin enough to show the texture of the clothes underneath, my undershirt had bunch in some strategic location that my co-workers noticed it and asked if I got a recent nipple enhancement to make them super flat, wide and pointy. It was just two wrinkles in my shirt, but they were in the right place. So now I make sure I pull my undershirt smooth after putting this thing on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in its class When it comes to Merino wool, this is the best. I use a sleeveless shirt for sleep, and the long sleeve zip for hiking. Will continue to use this material as my night attire on my AT hike. Love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shirt but check the sizing carefully I'm not sure if I missed it or if it was missing from the description, but the item I received is labeled "Asian Fit" and tighter than I expected. Just a heads up to anyone else out there you may want to consider going one size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got as a gift Bought as gift. As always Patagonia delivers. Dad wears it every day under his suit during the winter months. Raves about comfort and warmth.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointed i used to love Patagonia products, especially the R(egulator) series, but it seems quality has gone down considerably. this item is adequately warm but smells bad despite washing and started pilling after the first machine wash. Under Armour seems the way to go now, especially given that you can buy 2 of those at this price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable/Not so durable I have owned a couple of these tops and each performed the same. They are very comfortable to wear. They keep you much warmer than Capilene when sweating. Even after 2 years of use, they smell the same as new. That being said, with only moderate use (2-3 outings a month), I have gotten holes in the garment after just a little more than a year. It is too bad that they cost about twice as much as Capilene and have about 1/5 the life span. I guess I still choose the wool because of the better performance of the garment, but be prepared that it will not last as long.
