Breath-freezing approaches and sunlit summits, spindrift runnels and corniced ridgelines—for every moment of an alpine mission, the Nano-Air® delivers a breakthrough in active insulation. Put it on and leave it on through high-output, stop-and-go cold weather adventures—its stretchy and highly breathable fabric package integrates the qualities of fleece, soft shell and puffy by combining our warm-when-wet FullRange® insulation with a plain-weave liner and a lightweight yet durable, weather-shedding shell with DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The jacket’s incredibly soft, supple feel and full mechanical stretch allow for a close, athletic fit over baselayers and an uninhibited range of motion. At brew stops or in frigid conditions, pull on a lightweight shell and the Nano-Air’s thermal properties skyrocket. The left-chest pocket and two above-harness handwarmer pockets all close with trim, low-bulk zippers. The center-front zipper has a storm flap and zipper garage, while stretch binding at the cuffs and a dual-adjustable drawcord hem seal in warmth.
  • Light yet durable 100% nylon ripstop shell and plain-weave liner offer generous mechanical stretch and exceptional breathability, with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • Revolutionary 60-g FullRange® insulation warms and stretches; combined with the shell and liner, this creates a jacket with excellent mechanical stretch and unprecedented air permeability (40-CFM)
  • Iconic Nano Puff® brick quilting in the side panels, articulated patterning and other quilting details improve shape and durability
  • Center-front zipper has wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort
  • Two handwarmer pockets and a left-chest pocket are zippered, welted and low-bulk to wear comfortably with a harness or pack
  • Stretch binding at the cuffs and a dual-adjustable drawcord hem seal in warmth
  • Shell: 1.3-oz 20-denier 100% nylon ripstop. Lining: 2-oz 50-denier 100% nylon plain weave. Both shell and lining with mechanical stretch and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Insulation: 60-g FullRange® 100% polyester stretch insulation
  • 354 g (12.5 oz)
  • Made in Vietnam.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Men's Nano-Air® Jacket is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 135.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from More Breathable than Nano Puff, but Still Warm! This is a great jacket - if you're looking for a breathable layer that works well for aerobic activities. I find that I sweat less wearing this than many other jackets. My only quibble is the fabric tends to catch my beard and neck stubble. Maybe I'm the only one but if you're bearded, just test it out before buying. Also I'm usually a Small and stepped down to a snug fitting XS.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Extremely Comfortable I bought this jacket to see if I would like it. I watched the videos and read other reviews and I heard only good things. I have only been able to wear it out around town at night since I'm from Southern California and wearing it during the day would be preposterous. I love the way it feels next to my skin and the sizing is just right. I am eager to go out and try it, but so far I have nothing but good news. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I have not been able to use it for its intended purpose, yet. But rest assured I will soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, warm, soft & comfortable I've been wearing it for about a week and am very happy with the fit. It is very warm, very lightweight and very comfortable. It looks good too, trim cut simple unadorned design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket I like this jacket for its versatility. I'm 5'9" and 160 lbs - the medium fits comfortably, but is slim fitting so don't expect to layer under it. Nevertheless, it is a great go-to choice worn over a t-shirt or shirt in cool weather. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Mid Layer! I bought this as a midlayer for my powder bowl shell. It worked great while skiing in Utah and a Chicago winter. Wore it by itself durning the night and dwr finish worked will with rain. Didn't know what to expect, but this jacket exceeded all of my expectations. Also, the flexibility on this jacket is wonderful! Not sure what to do with my fleeces now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm but damages easily I bought my Nano-Air jacket last year because I liked the idea of a lightweight mid-layer jacket that could also work well independently for spring and fall-like weather. Since buying the jacket I have used it for skiing, hiking and just walking around the neighbourhood. Contrary to some reviews I've read, I found the fit of this jacket to be perfect (I'm 6' and am fairly slim - though my chocolate consumption may be starting to catch up with me). Then again, I do tend to wear my tops a bit large. I could wear mediums but tend to opt for large - especially with slim fit designs. I've found this jacket to be very warm but not terribly breathable. For low-intensity activities (like walking or casual downhill skiing) this is fine, but if I start to sweat then the jacket will quickly become soaked. On a couple of occasions I have had to go back to the car between ski runs to change from my wet Nano-Air into a dry fleece top. Breathability aside, my main gripe with this jacket is that the fabric is not as durable as I would have expected from a Patagonia piece. After only one day of skiing with a transceiver the harness/jacket contact points exhibited signs of wear. The collar, too, has signs of wear from my neck and chin. Also, much of the collar area looks as if it has ground-in dirt in it, despite having been washed. I've always had good experiences with the longevity of my Patagonia products but so far I'm skeptical where the Nano-Air is concerned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket Lightweight and warm, great jacket for walking the dogs on early spring mornings. Also easy jacket to commute to work with. Jacket is the most lightweight jacket I have ever owned. I would consider using this as a 3 season jacket, and down sweater in winter, although I haven't had it a full year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight jacket I live in CO and this is the perfect transition season jacket. Not too warm, sheds light rain, and can be worn with a short sleeved t-shirt without feeling like I have a trash bag on.
