Our Nano Puff® Hoody handily manages all the chilly belays, melt-freeze ice couloirs and nighttime rope-pulling epics that even the most dedicated climbers can throw at it. It excels as a sleek micro-belay parka and doubles as an insulated jacket on quick alpine dashes. A simple, elasticized hood opening adds thermostat-like warmth, and the low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco—with 55% postconsumer recycled content—traps heat with remarkable efficiency, even when wet. The wind-blocking, moisture-shedding 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish glides effortlessly in your layering system, and a soft, wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage add chin comfort (because when all hell’s breaking loose, the little things help). The hoody stuffs into an internal, zippered chest pocket that has a carabiner clip-in loop. It also has two zippered handwarmer pockets, elasticized cuffs and a dual-adjust drawcord hem to seal out wind and seal in warmth.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Insulation

We use PrimaLoft® insulation inside insulated garments for its warmth, compressibility, and soft comfort. While the human body uses energy to stay warm, PrimaLoft insulation uses a patented microfiber structure to help the body retain warmth and conserve energy.

The proprietary ultra-fine fibers of PrimaLoft insulation form a tight collection of air pockets that trap heat from your body and keep the cold out, providing an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. When insulation gets wet, it loses these air pockets and consequently, its insulating properties. PrimaLoft ultra-fine fibers were developed to be water resistant so your insulation stays drier and maintains its insulating properties even when wet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm This thing will keep you so warm! Love this jacket. Does run a little small, usually wear a medium but a large fits mutch better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightly isolated Jacket...thats pack-able! I've owned a Nano Puff jacket for a few years now and really love it. It's light weight, which I love but keeps you warm as a layering piece or on its own in milder climates. I travel often and really like how this jacket packs up into its own inside pocket. It's rare that I take a trip without packing my nano into its own pocket and throwing it into my bag because you never know when you'll need a little added warmth. There are warmer jackets out there but for spring and fall, this jacket is my go-to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Jacket I Own I have owned this jacket for about six months and I have used it almost every day. I love that it packs into itself so it could be used as a pillow. It will definitely be making my gear list for when I thru-hike the AT next year. Thank you so much Patagonia for being such a wonderful company with great ethics!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adaptable Lightweight, handsome jacket. Keeps you warm and it's easy to wear the Nano Puff Hoodie either as a mid-layer or as an outer layer. I got it in the plain black and it works really well with almost any outfit or activity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, light, and warm jacket I received this jacket just yesterday from my girlfriend and it's amazing. It's light, packable, and keeps you warm. It's even a bit water proof. The only problem I have is the drawstring to tighten the waist of the jacket. There's no way to hide it inside the jacket and it hangs loose and it's visible under the jacket. It'd be great if there was a little addition to store the drawstring

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Welcome companion.. Super versatile piece and essentially all I need for three season coverage. Packs down real nice and stows away in boat bag easily. At 6’1” and 170lbs. the size L fits to my liking. Long enough at waist and arms to cover layers. I like the cut, it’s somewhere between slim and full and does well by itself or fits nicely as a layer. The hood zips up nicely over a ball cap and keeps warmth in. The DWR finish performs well at keeping me dry on those moist days and even during light showers. The jacket is equally home dressing up for a night on the town. It also wears nicely over time; my 5 year old puffy shows a little wear but is still a highly functioning piece. Do yourself a favor and add one to your arsenal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Jacket I have had this for a couple of years now and wear it more than I don't. It's warm, lightweight, and packs down nice and small. It works well as a base layer too. I can't get enough of this thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So light weight and then so comfortable and warm As deer bow hunting season opened in Weatern New York and the weather has been so nice and at the same time crazy I have been using my Nano Puff up in my stand and I’m so comfortable I don’t want to take it out, keeping the wind out and at the same time giving me plenty of air flow inside and comfy warm feeling
