Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Men's Nine Trails Shorts is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great running short. I have been running in nine trails shorts for quite a while, so I have probably six pair. I like them for the pockets...three, freedom of movement...great, breathability...outstanding. When I compare my new ones to the older ones; I note some details that I miss. My old ones had a breathable mesh through the crotch and down the inside legs. This was really cool. I have not found a mesh liner on any short that is as good as the compression shorts I use for all my sports, so I cut it out and go with the support I am used to. On longer runs, I usually stuff a hat in one of the pockets; the pockets are getting smaller and this is more difficult. All in all it would be hard to beat these shorts for long runs on road or trail.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Compression short boxer brief no good I own a pair of these from two years ago, at the time they came with a brief liner. Last year they began with the boxer brief style liner. It affects the fit of the short and causes them to move around unnecessarily. They really should go back to the brief style, or offer both options

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect This is my fourth pair of these shorts and with this latest iteration they are perfect. The longer liner prevents chafing, the pockets are the right size for my phone and the drawstring is long enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All the best features This is my second pair and I would be 10 more! Great pockets. Nice materials. Well built. Please don't change them!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can run for miles These pants are amazing running shorts. This is my first pair of the Nine Trails Shorts. I never owned earlier versions of this pant so I can't really compare it to previous years. However, contrary to other reviews, I really like the long compression liner. Makes my legs look real nice. But seriously, the compression liners keep the pants right in place, no riding up and no sagging. Manufacturing is excellent. The zippered pockets are great for not losing things on the trail, and the rear pocket is perfect for small items like keys and cash for an end-of-run beer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poorly designed Material is great but the new cut is way to low on the hips.Have gotten these for many years because of design and durability. No more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these shorts! I don't understand all the haters either. I have a pair of Nine Trails shorts from a few years back and I wasn't very thrilled with them so I was a little tentative to spend the money on a newer pair. These blow the old version out of the water. So far I have used these for trail running, gym workouts, and the occasional yoga class and they have performed great everywhere. Perhaps it's my build but I think the compression shorts are far superior to the boxer style liner. The pockets are minimal but I don't tend to put much in my pockets when running so this is actually a plus for me. I would definitely recommend these shorts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit I purchased these as a surprise gift for my husband - he is VERY picky about his clothing. They fit perfectly, the material is amazing, and he says they are extremely comfortable! Definitely would buy them again.
