If you want to ride in the free-for-all we call winter weather, grab the Powder Bowl Pants: They’re our most versatile for riding steeps within the boundaries or backcountry couloirs. Made from a rugged, 2-layer, 100% polyester GORE-TEX® fabric for exceptional waterproof/breathable and windproof performance, Powder Bowls have a highly articulated fit and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish that prevents saturation. Inside, a brushed tricot lining in the seat and upper thighs manages moisture while slick mesh in the legs glides smoothly over underlayers. External mesh-lined thigh vents let you regulate your climate on the uptrack, and articulated knees provide unlimited mobility for catching big air (or recovering from said air). Other features include coated, watertight Slim Zips for reduced bulk; gaiters with tenacious gripper elastic; an embedded RECCO® avalanche rescue reflector; and burly scuff guards to protect the inside of the leg and hem from ski edges and postholing abuse. Pockets: two handwarmers, one thigh and one in back. Fabric is bluesign® approved.

Men's Powder Bowl Pants - Regular is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Ski Pants Would like to make one suggestion. Zipper pull on the fly is too small. It needs a pull tab (cord, etc) of some sort to grab when you want to open/close the zipper.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Pants but could be great I only had the chance to spend 5 days in these pants before the crotch ripped while kneeling down to help out my student. In my 4 days on the hill before they were excellent ski pants. The pockets were placed in the right places and the leg vents were great. The fabric was watertight after a day of wet snow. If they could just incorporate a gusseted crotch into these pants next season I think it would allow for more mobility when kneeling. The sizing was difficult for me as I am a slender frame 5'10 165 (usually wear 31 waist jeans) and the medium was a little too baggie in the legs and I had to completely bring in the side tabs. The size small I had to completely max out the side waist tabs but the legs were the perfect length and fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I bought these pants in electric orange primarily to match my orange and teal primo jacket, but also because they are 2L gore-tex. I have only worn them twice on the slope, but wanted to jot down some notes before I forgot. I wanted to mention that the cuffs at the ankles are pretty slim and just barely fit over my snowboard boots. Perhaps these pants are better for skiers? The slim factor also made me concerned that the thigh section would be too narrow and I might have decreased range of movement, but so far it has been okay. I am a big guy, 6'3" and 225Lbs. I have the XL pants, and they are super comfortable in the waist. I also bought a pair of regular snowshot pants this year, and I find it strange that the loop that connects to the primo powder skirt is much higher up on the pwoderbowls. It's a perfect spot several inches below the belt on the snowshots, but is directly underneath on the powderbowls, rendering the powder skirt ineffective if attached at that point. I love the connection, but I really feel that the loop was misplaced on the powderbowls. The loop is also quite small, and is very hard to insert the powder skirt button through if both jacket and pant are worn already (because you are doing it one handed behind your back). I deduct 1 star for this. Unlike the snowshots, the venting is on the side, instead of the inseam. The vents are very long and provide good venting, but the zippers, while lightweight can be hard to pull up and down. The zipper can also get stuck in the mesh. Honestly, I would have preferred that there was no mesh, but I guess that's a feature on more expensive pants. Also, vents on the inseam seem to me like a better place, but I suppose you are then limited to how much venting can be done. Overall a very nice pair of pants, and if I could just get a new loop for the powder skirt, I'd be completely satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powder Bowl Pants These pants are very comfortable. They have room in all the right places and yet keep a slimmer profile. Rain and wet snow just slide off and for some reason they just won't seem to get dirty. The fabric looks and feels like an expensive suit. Top drawer from Patagonia as usual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants I bought these b/c I was looking for a more versatile pair of board pants. That's exactly what I got & I love them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Met my expectations I'm 6'5" ~250lbs. The "Slim Fit" XXL size was perfect for me. Inseam was fine @ ~33", especially worn with ski Boots on. Love the Color... the pocket zippers are a little hard to close... easy to open. These are pretty thin pants not intended to insulate much. Windproof and waterproof... yes. Been wearing an extra layer of long underwear on cold days. They met my expectations !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Athletic Fit I researched high quality waterproof pants for quite some time before settling on the Slim Powder Bowl Pants. The fit is great and true to the size guide. I am 6' 1", 175 lbs and a medium is perfect. My only request would be the option for these pants with insulation.
