bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Men's Quandary Pants - Long is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to knock around the house pants Love everything about this pant with two exceptions. Wish patagonia would make there long inseam pants with a little more rise in the seat. Traditionally, tall men need more rise! The other thing is the nature of the fabric. We have cats and these suck up lint and cat fur like a vacuum.Great all year round.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most comfortable pants I own Picked up a gray pair at a ski shop in Bozeman, MT last winter. They were so comfortable that I picked up blue and khaki pairs. They have a nice stretch to them and the weight and texture of the fabric is perfect. I bought mine long and had them tailored for length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight materials in a super comfortable cut. As a slender, tall dude (6'2" / 175lb.) with an active lifestyle, I've been on the lookout for more clothing that will look good, fit well, and last a long time. These pants are definitely on the right track. I've only taken these on a few hikes so far, but I've worn them regularly to work and to class as well. Versatile! The zippers and pockets are very low profile and the fabric/stitching is smooth and doesn't draw attention like some performance/tech clothing. The slim fit and lightweight fabric makes these Quandary pants a better option for daily wear than the Tenpenny pants I also purchased. The "waxed" surface of the Tenpenny material and its boxier cut seems like it's going to be good for layering in colder, wetter weather, but these Quandary pants are my new go-to for indoor/outdoor days where I want to be ready for any spontaneous adventure. They compress super well into a pack, and also don't seem to hold on to odors like other materials. I just ordered two more pairs at the "Long" 34" inseam size!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I live in these... I have 2 pair and i forsee buying a third and a fourth if they make them in black or another color... i'm 6'4 and lean so buying pants is a tremendous chore. These fit perfectly, i got the 33 waist, 34 length. they stretch and so it doesn't matter what i'm doing the cuff of the pant stays in EXACTLY the same spot. No more high water pants for me!!! To boot, i got caught in a rainstorm in them... in the evening.. and they still dried quick. Granted it was in september and it was warm, but they went from drenched to dry in 30 minutes and that was all while i was standing in a line that was crawling... they're light and thin so i'm not sure when it will get too cold to wear them. I issue i normally have with pants like these is that the stitching breaks or they get pilly, but so far, zero issues...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The everything pant It's 5am on a Saturday. You didn't set your alarm and you didn't make plans, but something stirs inside you. Adventure awaits. You don't know what your going to get into all you know is you need to be prepared for anything. These pants are it. I've worn these to the tops of most 14ers on winter ascents in Southern California as well as the flats of the east cape fly fishing in 100 degree temps in Baja. These are light and breathe easy with great mobility and comfort. Add a base layer and they are perfect for fast hard ascents in freezing temps. The best part is the look, these have a modern fit that isn't techy and will fit in anywhere without you looking like the weirdo wearing his "hiking" gear. If I ever question what I might get into I grab these pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid hiking pants These are my go-to hiking pants. They're light, quite packable, and durable enough for the weight. They're stretchy enough for hiking, but the stretch+fit don't work for me for climbing (I prefer the Venga pant for that). And they could stand to be a bit more breathable, though you can't expect much from nylon. The pockets are useful and well-placed. The fit is good; I typically wear 32-33-34, and the 34 in these is good for me.
