We’d almost always prefer to be on the open road, preferably one without pavement, so we decided to bring the feeling of a road trip to our everyday work pants. Soft to the touch for all-day comfort, hard as nails for getting things done, these pants are made with a comfortable midweight 100% organic cotton garment-washed canvas that feels broken in and relaxed from the first time you slip them on. Cut to sit on the waist, they have a regular rise, a just-right fit through the seat and thigh, and a straight-leg opening below the knee. The classic, flat-front styling adapts to any situation, from work to tinkering in the shed. The 5-pocket design has two side-entry handwarmer pockets, a small coin pocket on the right hip, and two rear pockets (one with a button closure for security). Inseam length is 32".
  • Made of a comfortable and durable midweight 100% organic cotton micro sand wash
  • Slim-straight fit: cut to sit on the waist with a regular rise; neither too loose nor too tight through seat and thigh, with a straight-leg opening from knee to ankle; best for lean-to-medium builds
  • Classic, flat-front styling with double-needle belt loops, marble button closure with zip fly
  • Two slanted side-entry front handwarmer pockets, small coin pocket on right hip, two rear welted pockets (right-rear pocket has button closure), spare button on lower-right pocket bag

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Men's Straight Fit Duck Pants - Regular is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Skinny Duck I am just under 5'11", 155/160 lbs and got these in a 31/regular. Pants fit great. They are definitely on the slim side. If you are a cyclist, these are probably not for you...sorry. For me, pull on boots (engineer/cowboy/wellington/etc) don't fit very well inside the pant.....the cuff is a bit too narrow at the calf/ankle. That being said, I tend to wear these with lace-ups or loafers. Fabric is best for casual and office situations, not landscaping or construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit Great, true to size Love these pants, I've tried to find something I can wear to my financial job. I love these, the wife does too. Man I wish there was more colors....please more colors. Multiples of tan and brown would be great!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from skinny legged people Another great Patagonia product , but only for the very skinny legged person.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fitting pants These pants are rugged and spacious enough to be worn backpacking, but also have the slim, tapered fit to be worn to school or around the office place. A little long, but my favorite pants otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid pair of slacks Really solid pair of slacks. Slim fit but not too slim fit. I am something of a slacks fanatic and I have to say these are grade A, choice pants. Buy these slacks, if you are looking for a pair of slacks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh, they had potential I want to start by saying that I love Patagonia, what they stand for, and their products. I have had very few bad experiences and they have been limited to small flaws. My opinion of these pants is not at all reflective of how I view the company. I was pumped when I first started wearing these, they had a good fit (not too skinny, not too loose), seemed durable, and came in a sweet color (bear brown). But, after a few weeks of light use I developed two large tears on the seat. Although I planned to use them as hard wearing work pants, I had not yet had the chance to really abraide them when this happened. I really hadn't worn them other than for school and casual wear. Bummer. Luckily, Patagonia stood behind their product and sent me a new pair free of charge. Awesome. Great customer service. Problem is, less than two weeks later my replacement pair ripped in another place. Super bummed! I would love to see Patagonia use a different fabric for the Duck Pant. Perhaps use the same material as the stand-up shorts? I would certainly buy a few pairs. Especially if they kept the awesome fit that these ones have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit, Great Style and Durable I have had a couple of pairs of these pants now and they are my go to khaki's. I own multiple colors and love the way they fit, wear and wash. Great pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Go To These pants quickly became my new favorite go to pants. Not too tight, not too baggy, not too stiff, not to light. Just right. They seem to go with everything and are a great pair of casual pants.
