Learn More Close
When a midwinter nor’easter rolls into town, meet it at the station in the ready-for-anything Tres 3-in-1 Parka. You can wear the shell alone in the rain; add the zip-out jacket for cold, wet weather; or hit the streets in just the liner when the skies clear. The durable 2-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell has a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. A waterproof/breathable barrier adds mountaineering-level storm protection, while the inside lining wicks moisture, dries quickly and glides smoothly over layers. Shell details include an internally adjustable, removable hood; a 2-way front zipper protected by an external storm flap with hidden snap closure; a stand-up collar; and a microfleece-lined chin flap. The zip-out jacket attaches to the shell via the front zipper and snapped loops at the cuffs and neck. Horizontal quilting and Traceable Down (600-fill-power duck down traced from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked) warm the coldest city nights. Shell pocketing includes zippered handwarmer pockets and one chest pocket; the zip-out jacket has handwarmers and an internal chest pocket that doubles as a stuffsack and has a carabiner clip-in loop. Shell is lower-hip length; zip-out jacket is hip length.
  • H2No® Performance Standard 2-layer shell made with 6.7-oz 100% polyester stretch twill with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish and lined with 2.3-oz 100% recycled polyester plain weave. Zip-out jacket shell and lining: 1.3-oz 100% polyester mini-ripstop. Zip-out jacket insulation: 600-fill-power Traceable Down (duck down traced from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked)
  • Shell: full-zip parka with 2-way, waterproof, polyurethane-coated center-front zipper; zip-through collar with microfleece-lined chin flap and collar; adjustable and removable hood; exposed handwarmer pockets secure with polyurethane-coated waterproof-zippers and are lined with micropolyester brushed jersey; exposed left-chest pocket has polyurethane-coated waterproof-zipper; adjustable hem drawcord for maximum weather protection; P-6 logo on left chest
  • Zip-out jacket: down sweater-inspired full-zip jacket with zip-through stand-up collar and zipper garage; horizontal quilting; handwarmer pockets secure with zippers and are lined with microfleece; zippered interior left-chest pocket made of stretch mesh doubles as a stuffsack and has a carabiner clip-in loop; fixed hem with side seam

Traceable Down Insulation

Patagonia Traceable Down provides the highest assurance of animal welfare in the apparel industry. Every down cluster, in every one of our down products, comes exclusively from birds that were never force-fed and never live-plucked. How do we know? We hired an independent third-party expert to trace and verify our down supply chain from farm to jacket–and every step in between. Learn more

Weatherproof

2-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics are completely waterproof, windproof and breathable.

Designed for a wide range of uses, from backpacking to snowboarding, 2-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics utilize a taffeta or mesh lining rather than a bonded scrim to protect the waterproof/breathable barrier. The lining increases the garments wicking ability, durability and next-to-skin comfort.

2-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics are coated with DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish that repels light rain and snow. In conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

All products bearing the H2No mark have been vigorously tested for durability in our Killer Wash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat I had this coat in black for 6 years. Just got a new one in carbon this is a great coat. I wear with a suit as well with casual cloths. This has a very nice and slim appearance and fit the coat is warm and fashionable I have a lot of Patagonia cloths this is a great product. Thank you

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing A gift that is sadly not up to the standards of the other Patagonia products I have owned. I thought this would be a good coat for day to day wearing to work rather than a technical hiking or climbing style jacket. The inner liner/jacket is fine, a good fit and warm. However, the outer shell drapes loosely and bulges awkwardly where the inner jacket is zipped in. It is not as warm as I would have expected from a coat costing this much. I have had better results with my old Storm-shell and a fleece. When fully zipped up the collar is very stiff, again, in the area the inner jacket zips into the out shell. I haven't used it in a heavy downpour yet so I cannot comment on i's waterproof qualities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket for winter but zipper is a problem I've used it for a month or so in a mild New York winter. When temperature is below 30F, you will need to wear another layer underneath the whole thing which is something I could tolerate but I expected it to be warmer. Windproof is fine but not enough insulation. Above 30F, a t-shirt or shirt should be suffice. I mostly use it for casual and commuting. I like the style and the fit because it is hard to find a jacket with a good fit for me. I'm 5'5" and 140lb but size small of most jackets are just too big for me. I'm taking off one star because the main zipper just wouldn't latch easily. It always take me a few tries to get it latched. It somehow needs extra force to make it latch. Maybe mine was just a defect because my wife bought the same jacket for women and the zipper works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment Great, simple style looks great in the city or on the mountain. Inner down layer is my standard casual jacket most of the year, and the full coat serves me well during colder weather. Hood fits well, water resistant shell works well, great zippers. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home run I bought this as an in town coat for the Boston winters and it has been perfect. Windproof and warm and well suited as a single layer to walk the dog on a night in January.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional value I bought this parka approximately 6 weeks ago and have had the opportunity to wear it a couple of snow storms. I purchased the large and it fit extremely well. It has been completely water and wind proof and has kept me warm on the coldest midwestern day. The lining of the pockets are great for days when I forget my gloves. The zippers are great quality and the inner down filled jacket keeps me warm without overheating. I have notice a few tiny feathers poking through from the seams where the jacket is stitched. I am extremely pleased with the overall quality of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Jackets perfect for NYC winters I read the reviews and was really reluctant to shell out the full cost for this jacket, so many of the reviewers stated the garment was cold and let the wind in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the best Patagonia Quality and Execution On my 2nd coat in one year. Outer zipper really a problem and needs to be addressed in next addition. Great concept, great components.
