The difference between finishing a long run and bailing often rests in your ability to fall apart, then put yourself back together again. Built for the full spectrum of fast-moving pursuits, this lightweight pack holds all your essentials close to your back without compromising easy access when you’re on the move. The top-loading main compartment carries a shell, insulation, food and your choice of hydration reservoir securely and with minimal bounce. A small, zippered stash pocket on the lid provides secure storage for small items, and stretch mesh pockets carry water flasks or a hat and gloves. This light and supple pack, made from soft airflow mesh, breathes to keep you cool and comfortable in the heat. It has a skin-friendly edge binding that feels smooth on bare skin and two stash pockets for storing gels, lip balm and your soundtrack for the day. A supple foam back panel, made from lightweight mono mesh, won’t absorb sweat and breathes so that you stay comfortable and dry. Made from 3.7-oz 100-denier high-tenacity nylon ripstop with a 6.25-oz 210-denier semi-dull double nylon ripstop base. Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Nine Trails Pack 15L is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the right size... This is the go to pack for me when heading out in the woods mountain biking. Big enough to hold all the necessary things for a full day ride in Pisgah, yet not too bulky when carrying the minimum for a lunch rip. Easy access to the main area of the back. The top pocket can be accessed while riding as well as the small one on the left strap, which can be used for nutrition. The bright color choices are nice to have for when you are sharing the forest during hunting season. A necessary addition for any mountain biker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits more than I expected, doesn't move around I wasn't sure I would like the chest straps, but they really hold the pack on snugly. I'm not sure if this is how it fits other women, but for me they sit just across and below my boobs - NOT a sternum strap. I haven't run with this pack yet, but used it for mountain biking and long hikes, and love it. (Usually don't run far enough to necessitate this size pack.) I did a long hike last week and easily fit a full 70 oz bladder, separate 16 oz water bottle, snacks, first aid kit, extra layers, sunscreen, knife, hat, gloves, phone, etc, and that's without attaching anything to the exterior loops.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor design - Not made for trail running his product really makes me want to think that Patagonia doesn't test its products with specialized athletes. My two main qualms are: 1. Useless front pockets on shoulder straps. I really have no idea what these can be used for. The zip pocket on the left is too small for any modern cell phone. The pocket on the right is way too difficult to access because the closure is too tight. I ended up cutting open the top part of the closure which made it slightly easier. Only small items can be pulled through the closure so no whole granola bars but maybe a small gel. No easy access place to store a trail map, sun glasses, additional water bottles... 2. Very difficult to lock down contents of bag when it isn't completely full. The tightening straps which also double as the lower connection of the shoulder straps do nothing to compress the top part of the pack. Secondly the design of the closure mechanism doesn't lock down the top part of the pack either. The closure is a slightly odd design which doesn't serve any purpose in my view. As a result of this things will jiggle around when running on trails. Finally there is no designated place to put the mouth piece of the drinking tube. I did put it through the same loop on the shoulder strap as I pull the tube through on the other shoulder strap but it keeps falling out of place. One star goes for good materials and solid build.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little bag My new purse, go to daily adventure pack from the city to the mountains. I really like it and use it nearly everyday. Just one weird thing are the big pockets on the shoulder straps, not placed in a comfortable spot to put items in- this is not designed for a woman's chest, especially the unadjustable and high location of the across chest straps. Fits my brother better. But I still use it. Nice small profile. Just enough space, no extra weight or fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I love this pack for mountain biking. I suppose it'd work well for quick hyper-light hikes, but haven't used it for that yet. The one head's up I'd give is that it rides high on your back. This is great for mountain biking -the bag positioning and dual cross straps totally eliminate pack flop. But I could see if you had really broad shoulders or were "big boned" this pack might fit a bit awkward on you (at least try it on in store first).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and compact I've used this pack to train for a couple of marathons, and I'm about to wear it in my first trail marathon. It's light and compresses really well--as you empty the hydration bladder, you can squeeze it down to limit jostling. The S/M was the right fit for me--I'm 6'3", 180# and the adjustability of this pack is impressive. Also, it's not advertised as waterproof--just water repellent (DWR)--but I left it outside to air out and it was caught in a torrential downpour for a couple of hours. The travel pack of Kleenex I left inside was dry. #bonus

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good little backpack Great for biking full speed. Good bag for the beach. Even though it's tiny it opens up tall enough to fit way more than you expect.
