Inspired by the promise of the untracked, this stealthy pack carries the essentials you need to slip through the gates and find your own rhythm beyond the crowds. Built for quick forays into the sidecountry or backcountry, the SnowDrifter has a close-fitting, slim-profile design with a clamshell-style opening that provides fast access to a dedicated compartment for snow safety tools. Sized to carry extra layers, extra calories and other short-tour essentials, it also provides multiple carry options with front compression straps for boards and skis, and side compression straps for skis—all with locking cam buckles. A separate microfleece-lined pocket keeps your goggles handy and protected from sharp edges. The clean suspension system incorporates heat-venting, snow-sloughing mesh on the shoulder straps and back panel for all-day carrying comfort, and an insulated pocket on the shoulder harness prevents hydration systems from freezing. The top-mounted haul handle is reinforced and sized for gloves. Made from burly 420-denier CORDURA® 100% nylon plain weave for puncture and abrasion resistance, with an even tougher 940-denier CORDURA® Ballistic 100% nylon base with polyurethane coating. Both fabrics have a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well designed! Love the side straps and ability to compress the load. Beyond the intended design, utilitarian for a vacation which includes some day hiking and some urban sightseeing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough little pack! I've only skied once with this pack, but it was perfect for holding my avalanche shovel (G3 T-Handle), snacks, extra clothes, etc. I ducked under a branch while skiing and it brushed the pack, leaving only minor rub marks. I can't yet speak for the longevity of the pack, but it's clearly very well built, and super comfortable. I didn't bother with the waist strap, and with only the chest strap the bag stayed planted as I made turns and hit small jumps. Super happy with this little pack!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Snow! So far, I love this pack. I actually purchased this pack as a general use pack and as a fly fishing pack. A Tenkara fishing pole fits well in the pack, along with a rain coat, and my lunch. Just because it says “Snowdrifter”….doesn’t mean you can’t use it for other adventures!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pack! Got this for backcountry use- fits beacon, shovel, probe in very nicely. Has great pockets and places for extra layers, food, etc. you might want to carry. I personally use it for snowboarding- fits snowboard on great on outside straps and snowshoes. Also use it inside resorts if I want a light pack to carry/want to do longer, in-bounds hike-to terrain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great day-pack Great bag for day-trips in backcountry. I prefer this size relative to many of the other 24L bags on the market, and shape is preferable to me (taller and flatter, rather than shorter and stout). Had the same issue with the shovel handle and probe holders being too small. Simply didn't use them without issue, but don't prefer that. Great bag though, can't wait to get more use out of it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost perfect Highlights... Perfect size, great dimensions, bomber construction. Areas for improvement... My BCA shovel handle doesn't fit in the sleeve, my BCA probe barely fits, and would require dumping the pack to extract them... Giving the sleeves a little larger circumference would alleviate the problem... Would also like to see a helmet holder added... I purchased one from a competitor that uses hooks to hang on to the vertical carry straps, and does a great job

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pack I really like this pack. It has some great pockets and seems to pack in the perfect amount for a single day backcountry tour. Only flaw I've found is with the shovel and an extra pair of goggles packed in the goggles pocket it can be hard to zip and feels awkward. Otherwise I love it.
