Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the fall/early spring Nice hat with a little extra warmth for when it chilly in the morning for a run. Runs a little small but stretches enough to cover my ears.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product Improvements I purchased this hat to be used primarily on cold winter days when I am doing physical activities. I live in Bozeman, Montana and often cross country ski, run, shovel snow or take the dog for 30 to 45 minute a walks where the temperature is 15F to -5F. Here are some suggestions for produce improvements. I wish the hat came in three sizes instead of just two (small, medium and large instead of just small and large). Another alternative might be to make the cap adjustable much like a baseball cap with Velcro. I measured my head and felt the large would be too loose and the small size which I purchased is a bit tight. Also I would suggest that the area where the hat material covers the ears be a bit wider. I find that the ear covering flap does not full cover my earlobes and this can be a problem when the temperature is below 10F. Other than these suggested improvements the hat works fine and I use it almost every day when the temperatures are cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Versatility I live in a very wet climate where the winters aren't frigid, but they are a combination of being wet and cold. The windshield beanie has worked well when it's been decently cold (25-35 degrees F) and has also been nice in warmer conditions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Near perfect. So far, so good. This beanie has actually replaced all of my other winter running beanies. In heavy snow, I sometimes wish the brim was a little longer. But, would it really help keep the precip out of my eyes? Probably not. The wind shield around the ears, at first, seemed like they might cut noise too much out on the roads. But it turned out to be fine for traffic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality hat Well made. Seems a little snug for 'large".Haven't used it a lot yet. Been too cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this cap. Perfect for active winter pursuits in moderate cold. Ear flaps provide good coverage and seams are flat enough to wear under a bike helmet. Its a bit bulky under a helmet but well worth it when the temps drop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect warmth I've worn this hat in temperatures ranging from -10F to 45F and been completely comfortable. The ear covering is perfect for protecting my ears on windy days and I also appreciate the hat brim for walking/running in the sun. The breathability is wonderful, so I never feel like I'm overheating. I have also worn the hat as a helmet liner for my bike commute on occasions when I can't find my regular liner - this works well for me, but doesn't quite work for my husband, so I'm guessing it just depends on your head and helmet size. Since seeing mine, my husband and my mother both have gotten their own copies of this hat and love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use this all the time on my cold weather runs! This is a good hat for runs 30 degrees and colder. When it gets really cold, I throw a balaclava under it or neck gaiter. Love the brim to keep the sun or rain/snow/sleet off. I don't recommend it for biking though because the ear band is not really tight, so air gets in. I like this for running though because it helps keep my head a little cooler.
