Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and fun I bought 5briefs in a variety of colors . Comfortable enough to forget : nice fabric , no riding up .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Giant tags have ruined these perfect unders I've been buying these briefs for years. The cut has changed a little here and there, no big deal. But the ones I just got (that I ordered online) have GIANT TAGS in them. Who wants tags in their underwear? Why don't they just have the info printed like they used to? I'll be returning all of these to the store and will have to start looking for the new perfect unders. Attached photo shows my current pair, about two years old, and the pair I just received today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! No seams or riding up! Nice, smooth look. They wash & wear easily when traveling. I have been buying them for several years, only underpants I buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always the BEST! I have bought these active briefs for YEARS! They have gotten me thru a lot of sweaty bike rides, hikes, gardening sessions and SCUBA trips around the globe! I won't leave home without 'em! I love the new yellow color! I heard an NPR story about wearing yellow underwear on New Years Day for Good Luck! I already had them!!! I typically wear a size L, but of late have started to size up to XL for assurance of a no-line appearance!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best underwear available I use this active brief for all activities, including daily wear. It stays in place while hiking. There is no creeping up and no falling down even during the most vigorous workout.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Waistband I love the underwear but the seam at the waist ripped after only 3 wearings

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most comfortable briefs ever! Received as a gift and simply love them. They are thin, light, breathable, and like wearing nothing at all. My favorite go to briefs (and no panty lines).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality has gone way down These used to be my go to underwear. I have a pair from ten years or more ago that are still perfect, but this summer I picked up 3 new pairs and two of them fell apart the first time I wore them. The elastic around one of the legs just completely detached and the tags they now use instead of the old printed style are difficult to remove without breaking threads around the waistband. I found the tag is too sharp to leave in and I unraveled one waistband just trying to carefully trim it away. They seem to be much lower quality and unfortunately I won't buy these once perfect briefs again.
