From pioneering Yosemite routes to modern sends of yesterday’s aid lines, free climbing has long represented the ideal. Our All Free Jacket is a lightweight soft shell that moves, breathes and protects without restraint, enabling your most visionary moves. A full-zip jacket constructed from a light, stretchy double-weave fabric, it offers unencumbered movement and great abrasion- and weather-resistance. Two handwarmer pockets lay comfortably under a harness or waistbelt, and one zippered chest pocket holds small essentials. Low-bulk spiral cuffs push up easily, so you can dive into deep hand cracks without additional pump. A no-bunch drawcord hem cinches from inside the handwarmer pockets and protects against updrafts.
  • Lightweight, double-weave soft-shell fabric resists abrasion, wind and weather while maintaining great stretch and breathability for highly aerobic activity
  • Center-front zipper with interior wind flap and minimal-welt microfleece zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort
  • Left-chest zippered security pocket; open-entry handwarmer pockets that disappear under a harness or waistbelt
  • Variable Conditions Cuff with spiral-seam construction allows sleeves to push up easily without constricting forearms
  • Flat-cinch, no-bunch hem adjusts by pulling cord in handwarmer pockets and releases with cord locks at side hem

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Women's All Free Jacket is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good versatile lightweight jacket!!! This jacket was a bit thinner than I expected it blocks winds fairly well but for the fabric I was expecting it to be a bit thicker, but right now I think it will hold up! After reading the reviews the majority of them said to size down and I was extremely hesitant to get an XS but I did and followed all of the reviews... really wish I would have gotten a small, I've already worn it a while, it's not as boxy as other reviews stated I think the shape was perfect! All in all great shape, can't go wrong with black, we'll see how well the thin fabric holds up, andI really wish I would have stuck with my gut and got my regular size in this jacket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit This lightweight jacket is perfect for the Georgia cooler weather. I'm 5'2" and 129 and the medium fits perfectly. I love this jacket. I wear it everywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features, warmer than expected... I bought this as a transitional jacket for winters in the south and it is surprisingly warm despite being feather-light. I usually buy jackets a size up to accomodate other hoodies etc. but this one is especially large, particularly arm length wise. I rolled up the contrasting arm bottoms and it's hard to tell that they're so long but I wish I'd stuck to a proper size. Too, it's not quite as fitted as I'd like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super great light jacket I live in the UK and it rains here a lot. But it's not always so cold you need a proper winter coat. This light jacket is comfortable, warm enough, and does a great job at keeping me dry in the drizzling rain. It's wearable. It's not like a rain coat which can be noisy and obnoxious. It's soft which is nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this jacket!!! The slim fit is a perfect fit for me, the combination of colors matches some of my older Patagonia tops and looks great with them, the weight is perfect for cool weather -- an all around great buy and a new favorite that I'm wearing often! Thank you for quality and value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight and useful When I first got this jacket I was surprised by how thin it was. I was skeptical that it could be useful for my active outdoor lifestyle because it was so paper thin. I liked the color and rolled it up into a fannie pack for a 15 mile hike. On the hike the temps dropped to the 50s which is usually ok but then it started raining and I was cold. I put this jacket over the sleeveless microfiber shirt I was wearing. Not only was I warm but the jacket remained breathable. I maintained body temperature without being too cold or too hot. I was really impressed. I was probing the collar for a hood and there wasn't one. If there was this would be an amazing layer to keep on your hikes for added body temp regulation. This jacket is great for anyone hiking on a windy day, good for boating and a great addition to your hiking pack for added warm, wind and rainbow resistance without adding weight to your pack. Don't let the thinness fool you. This is a very technically advanced material. Give it a try. I got the medium and don't wear bulky layers. If you are someone who wears many layers/thick layers then try sizing up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cool weather layer I would rate this very good if there were a star for that as it's just shy of excellent. Super fit- finally as Patagonia makes things so narrow and not for women like me with large breasts- and great weight. I would love it even more if the pockets had zippers. As the pockets are they're kind of useless as they are angled and things will fall out. Also, I would like it if the zipper wasn't just one way but opened from the bottom too. But with that said, it's been a perfect layer for fall weather when you don't need much. A flattering cut too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hidden gem for runners i think because this is marketed to climbers it's easy to miss its potential for a running jacket, but boy was i blown away. as a marathon runner i've been looking for a lightweight technical layer for windier, cooler, and even drizzly days in spring/summer/early fall. this jacket is absolutely flawless - it's insanely breathable for highly aerobic activity (i've done speed workouts in it), the zipper stays put at whatever level you adjust it to, and it's crazy wind resistant. best part? there's not a single exposed seam on the whole interior, so i'm not afraid to log looooong miles in this thing without worrying about chafing. don't forget us runners, patagonia!
