Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE it! I'm a busty girl and have had a really hard time finding casual, comfortable bras that work for me. I'm 5'6" and a 34DD (got a large) and this bra is amazingly comfortable. I wear it to work in a hospital, running around town, kayaking, yoga, you name it. However, it doesn't strap the girls down enough to be worn for running or other activities that otherwise "jostle" the sweater puppies. The only downside is that the modesty pads shift around quite often, but they're easily removable. Busty girls, rejoice! There's finally a bra that works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm not a bra gal, but... This bra is comfortable and really, barely noticeable for those who prefer being bra-free but simply must wear -something- as an outdoor professional. I'm 5'8", 130 with a small bust. If it's up to me, I don't wear a bra. But sometimes... it's just necessary. I mention this because it feels like this bra was made for me. It cushions, supports, and conceals without hiding entirely. It doesn't dig into my chest either, and the fabric is soft. The pads can be removed pretty easily for washing, and replaced just as easily. Finally, a bra that is something beyond tolerable. Thanks patagonia!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nothing "barely" about this bra The "barely bra" has gone through many iterations over the years, and while this one is reasonably comfortable, it is not a minimalist bra in any way, like its predecessors. I'm glad that this version got rid of the metal bits and went back to a simple strap design. However, it has quite full coverage and modesty pads -- the design is not much different than most "regular" bras out there for daily/casual wear (and I have organic cotton bras in a similar style that are much more comfortable than this one). I wish that this bra became a "new style" and a truly "barely bra" -- and the minimal, lightweight version (circa 2011) would come back. I still have one of those, and I love it for backcountry use after taking off my sports bra, or for travel in hot humid places. It is small, hand washes, and very comfortable. I still haven't found a good replacement for it. And ... I'm a 34A and the medium fits well. In all Patagonia tops, I'm a XS or Small, but for bras, to avoid digging and a tight band, I've moved to medium in recent years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I was excited for these bras but am returning them I was so excited to receive these bras, hoping they'd replace my everyday bras that have underwire, which is so uncomfortable. The Patagonia bra fits well, but the straps are visible under almost any shirt I wear, and the foam pads are constantly shifting and getting out of place, requiring adjustment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sports bra I own! I bought this about a month ago and am in love with it! I'm not real big, about a 32 b/c and the Medium fits perfect. No uni boob, dries quickly, wicks moisture, and comfortable movement. Originally ordered a small and it was like a slingshot going on. Now I just need more so I'm constantly washing this one to re-wear!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from STILL love this bra! a quick update to my previous review re sizing: edited version here I am in love with this bra and pretty much want to wear it all the time. I used to stay away from sports bras because they make me look like i have one flat boob. Not this bra - the shape is great (2 boobs! nicely shaped!), the fabric is soft, the support is great. I can wear it for days on end and it never stinks. I'm 32C/34B and initially size small was perfect. Then sizing changed and now i need MEDIUM. Just FYI. Please don't stop making this one, Patagonia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable with the perfect amount of support As an avid weight lifter, hiker and climber this is the best sports bra I have yet to find. It's a super comfortable and breathable material that offers just the right amount of support. Unlike most sports bras, I've easily gotten away with wearing this to work because it doesn't have that "uni-boob" effect. The straps are a bit on the thicker side, but I haven't noticed them digging into my shoulder or anything like that. Padding is removable if needed. I love this sports bra and plan on buying more. For reference, I'm a 34C and a medium fit perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bliss face all day! I love this bra! Said no one ever! Until now. I bought two of these at the Patagonia outlet in Santa Cruz (awesome store, btw) and I couldn't be happier with a soft bra. It is soooo comfortable! I haven't worn another bra since I bought these 3 days ago and I just sent my bf back to the store for two more, one for me and my mom. I never thought I'd wear a soft bra to anywhere other than home or errands but this bra gives you support without the weird flat mono-boob that most sports bras have. It's cute too! "Super sexy" in the words of my bf, extra bonus, or maybe he just has weird taste...anyway. It's good to see that women with larger breasts find this bra supportive, I have smallish boobs (34a-b) and got smalls, both fit perfect. I wouldn't wear this running either, but walking, hiking, work, yoga: yes.
