Fair Trade Certified™

We pay a premium for every Fair Trade Certified item that carries our label. That extra money goes directly to the workers at the factory, and they decide how to spend it. The program also promotes worker health and safety and social and environmental compliance, and encourages dialog between workers and management. Fair Trade is one of the first tools we’re using at Patagonia to raise workers’ wages, improve their standard of living and move them closer to earning a living wage.

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these pants! Really comfy and warm. Was worried size 8 would be to baggy. Runs small :) Perfect fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Britches I Own This is my third pair. My other two I've worn so much and I know people think I must need new pants. So I splurged on myself and got a new pair. I also got my hubby a pair--loved them. Two more are on the way for him. You will love these pants. They're soft and comfy and warm--just right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Corduroy Pants I love my CORDS! I have never ordered from Patagonia for myself and I'm sure glad I did. The size was perfect and the length perfect as well. As a matter of fact, I'm back on their website to order more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around pant! I was lucky enough to buy this on Black Friday, so not only did I get a great pant, I felt good knowing the profit went to a good cause. I live in these pants and even bought another pair. I especially love to boulder in them because they are warm and protect my knees. They allow for great mobility and I never have any problems completing my problems :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great basic cord Bought this pant four years ago and finally picked up another pair - they are still cut the same way. They are a sightly thicker cord, have stretch, work well for someone with "strong" legs and glutes, thankfully not too high in the waist, great for cooler weather, and don't shrink. Wardrobe staple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pants ever! The fit is perfect, I even bought another pair in turquoise.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from They run lean I had to return them. I wear a standard size 10 and can usually buy clothes off the rack, but these ran too skinny for me. By coincidence a friend had ordered similar pants the same week and also had to return them. They are called "regular" but Patagonia's regular is skinnier than other company's "regular". Might help to mention this in the description.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from give me all the colors I have three of these pants and I love them, as well as the fitted version. Stretch makes them comfy, and the rich colors and velvety texture make great for every-day cool to cold weather wear. My oldest pair is at least 5 years old and shows no signs of wear despite lots of it. The 28 fits well; my normal patagonia size is 8, 10 or Medium. One minor suggestion for improvement: match the color of the pocket lining to the color of the corduroy so they dont attract attention if they stick out. Thanks patagonia!
