Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Women's Organic Cotton Quilt Hoody is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cotton Quiltiness So wanted to love this hoody! I have wide shoulders, and a slim build (5'9'', 120). I ordered a small. This fit me like a guys borrowed football jersey-enough shoulder space for pads, X-long arms and then a tapering/squarish body. Cute quilted fabric, color options, and pocket detailing just could not overcome the fit issues. XS was too slim in the hip area for me if much was layered underneath.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute, but... Very sad to return this zip up. Unfortunately my biggest complaint for returning it back is the style on the side of the jacket. It splits in two parts and it made me look like I had a lobster tail. Knowing I wasn't fully happy is why I know I wont get the use that I was hoping for just based on style alone. Other than that I this jacket was comfortable and very soft. As far as size, I ordered based on other reviews I read to size down and seemed to be true/ still had room for layers. I am 5'6, weigh about 130lbs and got a Small.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Hoody, Wish it Fit Better I just received this hoody in the mail after pining over it for some time. The quality is great and it is so cute. However, I should have expected the fit to be strange. Once again I am so deeply confused by Patagonia's sizing. It seems to change constantly. I am usually a Medium, and this was baggy in the shoulders (?) and scrunched up around my bottom half- I have a butt and thighs! It is long, which is nice, but not unless you have a stick straight model figure, or have a really long torso. I've been constantly disappointed with Patagonia's sizing in all aspects and through many purchases, and this hoody was no exception. I am really sad because this seems like a quality hood I would have worn a lot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit and Length This will be my new favorite lightweight jacket. It's super soft cotton, has a relaxed fit, but I'm not swimming in it either. The sleeves are a good length on this, which is great because I've had trouble with too-short sleeves in the past. I love that this is plenty long, as I'm also a long-waisted gal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Hoody I've owned this hoody for about a month now, and safe to say it's my new favorite. Soft, stretchy, and warm with a nice oversized hood to accomodate a hat and a neckwarmer if needed. I'm 5'8" 130lbs with long arms and I got a small. Fits perfectly - form fitting but with room to pack in a layer or two underneath. The Big Sur Blue is such a gorgeous color too. I would love to see more products in this color tone, rich but darker and a little muted. Very happy with my order!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had to get use to it I have many Cotton Quilt Snap-T's so I wanted to try out the new hoody. It's very soft, comfortable, and construction quality is great. It does run large though, I got an XS and could have used an XXS. It's so comfortable that I eventually got over how big it looked on me and is now a staple yoga piece for me.
