Crosstrek Bottoms, made from our newest fleece fabric, provide next-to-skin comfort during extended movement, durability for season-after-season pursuits and stretch for the full range of active motion. Beautifully crafted from Polartec® Power Stretch® fleece, they have a smooth, flat outer face that slides under outer layers. A soft, napped inner surface traps warmth and wicks moisture to keep you dry. Flat-seam stitching throughout reduces bulk and minimizes chafing under a harness. A cut-and-sew waistband lies flat against your body for increased next-to-skin comfort with pants and hipbelts. The leg tapers to the ankle to create a technical fit and features anatomical seaming for additional mobility. With a zippered pocket on the right thigh for a media player or phone.

Women's Crosstrek Bottoms is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great first wear, didn't retain shape after wash I bought these for wearing on week long winter expeditions as well as just general wear around. I initially put them on and loved them but found that the string that acts as a belt isn't strong enough and that the waist after washing remained stretched out and droopy in the crotch/butt. I love the feel, the pocket and they are so warm but I am struggling to keep them up! I found that the legs were snug on my calves and thighs but the waist was far too stretched/large.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for me in almost every way The truly *perfect* fit of the W's Crosstrek bottoms medium truly perfect for me. I've been making due with similar Polartec Power stretch tights by another company, struggling being in between sizes. I'm a size 8 in Patagonia pants (& Ath__a, Pr__a), 38" hips, ~30" waist, 32" inseam, 5ft 8in 145lbs. Polartec Power stretch has been the perfect weight to keep warm running around (dog agility) in PNW/Lower British Columbia winters (20º's F/-7ºC on up). I'd describe these as mid-rise or a bit higher. I may have to experiment with the Cut-and-sew waistband/drawstring (in other neverending/infinity drawstring styles, I've had to cut myself out & replace with thinner [2-4mm] climbing cord or a shoelace). I could see outdoor bouldering in these, though Polartec Power stretch bottoms aren't ideal for rock climbing as the jersey face isn't designed for that level of abrasion (unless one doesn't brush against rock as much as I do). If I needed a new alpine/BC skiing base layer for colder days (39ºF or below), I would likely cut off the bottom ~6" to accommodate ski boots. These bottoms seem like they'd be great for XC skiing & long distance running on cool/cold days.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Fit I wish I had tried these on right away after I ordered the mens and the womens size to figure out which one worked better. Hands down the mens fleece pant fit the best, stayed up and didn't pull downward like the women's as someone else mentioned in her review. I wore the women's last weekend and the things were around my hips. Had I put my phone in the pocket, I think they'd be around my knees. I am 5'5" 145 and ordered the Med. Bad all the way around. Go for the mens.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Funky fit This pant is a great idea, but the fit was funky on me. In a medium, the waist was too big (and a bit low cut) and the legs were too tight so I returned it. I have a medium, athletic build: 5'7" 130lbs and usually wear a size 4 / 34" inseam. These aren't for my dimensions...bummer. I used to own the Piton pants and am still looking for a good fleece pant to replace them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works perfectly great piece of gear for a wide variety of temperatures and activity. Have worn them running, speed walking, hiking. In sub zero temperatures, it has been close to divine: layered with Studio Hike pants, it worked for my run today in sub zero temperatures. Layers well; does not even feel you have it on; and once inside--I could stay in it and did not over heat. My only concern is that I wish it had better pocket; and that the rise was done better. I am petite, so could get away with it. Not sure how it would work for someone taller.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly sewn This garment was poorly sewn. One leg is visibly wider than the other and gaps oddly. Disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits great Love these and look forward to everyday wear but especially for cross country skiing — alone or under shell pants (or ski pants if super cold). They are form fitting without being snug. And I am not built like a rail, and love that these pants fit over my shapely butt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Men's version fit's better I ordered these in a women's small and the men's version in an XS. They fit just about the same through the hip and legs, but the women's version didn't work for me, because the waist was loose. The men's version worked great, because the waist fit and they had a slightly higher rise, which will help them stay up when running. I don't understand why the cut them this way, because most women have a smaller waist than a comparably sized man. So I'm giving 3 stars for the women's, and 5 stars for the men's.
