Bangtail Divide, Warrior Creek, the Kokopelli: Check them off your bucket list. Our new and versatile Dirt Craft Bike Shorts combine a removable, durable, 3-layer, mountain bike–specific padded liner with a do-anything outer short. The comfortable and supportive polyester/spandex stretch liner incorporates power mesh panels for enhanced breathability and connects to the nylon/spandex, stretchy plain-weave outer short with a snapped webbing loop. An internal elastic and button adjustment fine-tunes the fit. To resist light moisture, the outer short fabric has a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Stash your phone and gels in the drop-in pockets—there’s a secure back-right zippered pocket for keys and cash. Reflective logo at left hem and right provide visibility in low light. With knee articulation and a 9" inseam.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits great These are the best fitting bike shorts that I have and I like the shorts without the padded insert

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great shorts, if you have the right body for them There is a lot to love about these shorts. They're very lightweight and breathable, and I loved the fabric, but they really are not cut for me. The fit of the liner shorts was fantastic, but I found the chammy uncomfortable and much too thick (I prefer tri shorts to normal bike shorts). The outer shorts were too big in the waist, like other reviewers have said, but it didn't bother me too much. The real problem was that the shorts were too tight through the thighs, even without the liner shorts underneath. The fabric is stretchy enough that I could have made it work, but I would have been constantly pulling the legs back down. No thanks. I am that body type that no one seems to make mtb shorts for -- small waist and hips with big, muscular legs. I agree with other reviewers about adding a front zip pocket. A zip pocket on the butt is totally impractical.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Shorts That Could Be Great Comfy, but could be even better. Suggested improvements/requests: remove buttons from inside waistband (they can chafe) and move zip pocket to front thigh (like the men's, so we too can conveniently get to items while riding).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fit so well! Great, would be 5 stars if they offered patterned options! Runs small, I'm 5'6" and weigh 130...normally a medium but had to get a small in this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite bike shorts! I have just got into biking the past few years and have pretty much hated trying to find clothes to ride in. I'm not built like your typical buff biker chic, so I always felt like I was swimming in bike shorts--and had yet to find something that was actually comfortable. I was able to snag these for a killer price at an outlet sale, and I've been wearing them several times a week since! The chamois is soooooooooooo comfortable. Seriously--it fits perfect. The wide waistband stays in place and doesn't dig in. It's fitted in all the right places without being too tight, and super cushy for hours in the saddle. I am usually dying to get out of my shorts after a ride, but I've had no problem keeping these on for dinner and the car ride home. The chamois is so good, I really wish Patagonia would consider selling it separately. I'd give the shorts themselves 4 stars--they are almost a 5, but I think Patagonia could make a few changes to get that extra star. The material is perfect--super cool, comfortable, quick drying. I really have washed them a million times and they still look great. BUT: the look is a bit frumpy--I think they could be just a little more fitted on the leg--not tight--they just need some more shape to them. And hey Patagonia--WHY DO THE GUYS GET A ZIPPER POCKET?! (That's me yelling for equality ;) The front pockets are extra deep and fit my phone, but when I'm flying down the mountain I want to make sure it stays secure--give us a zipper too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best short I've owned I bought these a year ago and they're my go to short. The chamois is one of the most comfortable I've owned. I love the shorts as well. I do wish there was an additional zipper pocket on one of the hips that would accommodate the larger iPhone. Even in the hottest weather I am still cool wearing these shorts and they wash up very nicely. Never had any problems with mud staining them. I also wish I could buy additional chamois without having to buy another pair of shorts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish MTB shorts, but room for improvement Alright, here's the deal with these shorts... The chammy is very comfortable. Good, non-elastic, design across the lower abdomen and a very comfortable wear across your bits. A comfortable chammy is crucial to a long day in the saddle. I really wanted to love the fit of the short but I've found it to be slightly frumpy, though I do like the material. Just a dash longer and a dash more fitted would be awesome, not much though because the loose design of a mountain bike short is important but for a woman's short, it could stand a bit more fitted (just a smidge). I do love the color choices for this short.
