To call the Fiona versatile is an understatement. We’ve worn it on cold days in December and chilly nights in July. We’ve worn it over satin and pearls, surf shorts and definitely over nothing at all. The exceedingly feminine and lightweight parka is made from a windproof and water-repellent shell fabric with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish and insulated with Traceable Down (600-fill-power duck down traced from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked). Princess seams and straight quilting lines offer a contoured, but not overly snug, fit that flatters the body and charms everyone else. With a 2-way zipper, on-seam handwarmer pockets and a stand-up collar. Above-the-knee length.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Traceable Down Insulation

Patagonia Traceable Down provides the highest assurance of animal welfare in the apparel industry. Every down cluster, in every one of our down products, comes exclusively from birds that were never force-fed and never live-plucked. How do we know? We hired an independent third-party expert to trace and verify our down supply chain from farm to jacket–and every step in between. Learn more

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Jacket! I love this jacket. I wear it from fall through spring. It is as casual or dressy as you want it to be. It is stylsih and warm. I always get compliemnts on it. I love the Navy as it goes with everything. It fits true to size.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not warm, lays poorly, not for tall people I wanted to love this jacket, I really did. I love the teal color. Feathers started to pop out the day I got it. This is not a warm jacket as the bottom flares quite wide and it compares to a down shirt in its puffiness. It is best for spring or early fall weather in cold places. I am 5'9' and 135# and I can hardly bend my elbows comfortably in this. The sleeves are 3' too short for me. The front zipper has settled into a rumply roller coaster pattern that will never lay flat, it's very awkward and looks terrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I recently returned my 3rd and probably final Fiona. Tiny little feathers all over my clothes and my car seat. I hoped to solve the problem by washing the coat but no improvement after 2 washings. Patagonia was true to their word and accepted the return without question and issued a e-gift card. Sadly I didn't keep the original receipt so my gift card is nearly 50% less than the purchase price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Warm and good fit - but feathers are everywhere! I really like this jacket, it has a good fit and is perfect for Chicago fall, spring and warm winter days (35-55 degree days). However, the feathers come out through the inside seams. I often wore this jacket on my commute to work, and would wear a sweater underneath it. Upon taking off the jacket, there were a ton of feathers embedded into the sweater. The feathers are so small and fine, it's difficult to pick them out and I've ruined a few sweaters over this coat. The feather situation was extremely frustrating, but aside from that I really liked this jacket - perfect for Chicago around town / to-from gym, etc. I have the Down Sweater and the W Downtown Parka - both of which are great and was hoping this would be the perfect 'in between' for those two other jackets. Neither of those jackets have feathers come out of the seams (apart from the normal few here and there). Unless you plan to strictly wear plain cotton shirts under neath this jacket - beware.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Feathery....but Flattering I bought this coat in Chicago a few days ago after forgetting to pack mine. I've been purchasing Patagonia coats for years but this is the first coat I've ever had that leaves behind tiny feathers each time I take it off. Ugh. Especially unappealing when wearing a dark color sweater. That is the negative--and disappointing part. Otherwise--this is the lightest coat with a feminine and flattering cut/shape. I love that the pockets are streamlined and zipped completely flat so that your lines when the coat is zipped are not bulky. This is not the warmest coat--but perfect for 30 degree weather with a sweater underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Everyday Casual Coat This coat is a great, everyday coat. It is slim fit. I think it fits true-to-size, however if you are in between sizes normally, go the size up. When you sit down it may feel snug around the hips, but the zipper allows you to upzip from bottom-up, allowing sitting very easy. And then just zip back up when you stand up. It is pretty warm. I wear it in the winters here - from 40 degrees down to 15 degrees. Lower than 15 degrees you'll want to layer, or wear a different coat. It is snug and I wear this coat for every day and walking the dogs, but I wouldn't wear it for skiing or any other sport which is more active. I wanted a stylish, warm coat for every day and casual wear and this coat is just that!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Feathers everywhere!! First let me say I love the style, sizing and warmth of this coat. The only problem I have is it leaves little tiny feather pieces all over my clothes!! I mean everything I wear this coat with will be covered. I own 5 other Patagonia down coats and none of them do this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed in product I purchased this coat for the lighter winters here in Atlanta and as a travel coat. My first time wearing it was on a trip to Italy, mild temp around 50-60 degrees which was perfect for this coat. I love the style and weight of the coat. However, I hate the fact that every time I took the coat off my clothes were covered in feathers! I have returned the coat. I have several of your products that I am very pleased with but this was very disappointing. I would love the coat if the feathers stay in the coat and off my clothes. Also an inside pocket on this coat would be a nice addition.
