Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Women's Fitted Corduroy Pants is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Extra Low Rise These pants were a great length but the waist band was SO LOW. It hit right at the widest part of my hips and my backside was not fully covered. If they made a high rise version I would buy those, but the low rise ones are going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around pants Originally regretted sizing up. I'm 5'5" 167 and I got the 31 instead of the recommended 30. There were loose and required a belt. I have worn them while on bicycles, motorcycles, rock climbing, and hiking in the everglades. Loads of stretch and comfort for all these activities. I'm going to buy another pair for casual wear in a smaller size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Favorite Corduroys - but issues with sizes I've owned a pair of these pants for about a year and just recently decided to purchase another pair in a new color because I love the fit so much. My old pair had a little bit of stretch to the waistband making them so comfortable. They are fitted through the hips and snug through the legs - without being tight. For last years pair, I would say they fit true to size. These have been my go-to pants for post- long fishing or climbing days. My 1-yr old pair still look brand new. You can dress them up or just throw on a flannel. They are also SO good for cold weather days. My only issue is that this new pair doesn't fit as well as the old pair. I ordered the same size, same model - the only difference is the color. The waistband doesn't seem to have as much stretch in it this time. This pair just isn't as comfortable - so I say they run a little small. It also feels like the rise is shorter so the sit lower on your hips. That being said, the next size up would be too large. I've seen this happen with other Patagonia products over the years and hope there can be some consistency someday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing fit, my favorite pants I bought these in a size 24, they fit perfectly and as expected. I am 5'2", 105. They are so comfortable and soft. Highly recommend!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too fitted even when sizing up I bought a pair of these last season and LOVE them. I bought them 1 size up so they wouldn't be totally fitted and they are the best cords I have ever owned. This year I bought another pair, same size as last year (one size up) and they are almost too tight to wear. This is really frustrating. Why can't there be consistency from year to year anymore? Anyone with a hint of muscle in their legs will find these too fitted. It's really frustrating to see a tried and true outdoor company designing more for the lifestyle customers than the athletes. If I wanted that I could have gone to North Face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite pants I own 3 pairs of these cords because they're so awesome, very comfortable and they look professional. 5'5" 165 lbs - 31 fits just fine with pear shaped body.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very cute! Bought these 2 weeks ago, and am loving them. Very cute! I am 5'7" and 135 lbs, athletic build, got a size 27. Probably could also have fit a size 28, just depends on if you like them loose or tight. Lower on the waist that what I prefer with my jeans, and also wider around the ankle area. Looks grat cuffed!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Skin-tight from the knees down - meh These fit like comfy jeans in the waist and the butt but fit like compression socks in the calves. (I’m a runner, but my calves aren’t THAT big.) Judging by the model, I’d anticipated more of a straight-leg fit. Even if you’re into skinny jeans, which I’m not, these still probably wouldn’t work for you - they’re super-long, so my legs were covered in skin-tight wrinkles from the knees down, like a kid wearing her mom’s pantyhose. Blah - sending them back. (For the record, I’m 5’7” and 125lbs, and my pant size is typically 26, but I sized up a little based on other reviews. Still didn’t work.)
