Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great activewear pants I bought these pants for a trip to Alaska, knowing I'd be doing any number of activities from riding on a bus/train/boat to hiking, kayaking, etc. in any kind of weather. These pants are really comfortable, easy to move in, never seemed to get dirty, dried quickly, and held up well to the weather and activity. I wore them for multiple days and they held their shape well - they stretched just a little after the first wear, which just made them more comfortable. They do run small, particularly in the hip/upper thigh area, and are low-rise, so definitely order a size up. While I wish they weren't so low-rise, I never felt uncomfortable or like my movement was restricted in any way. I would definitely buy these again and I look forward to getting a lot more use out of them in the future! For reference, I'm 5'7, 160 lbs, and I ordered a size 10.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from thigh drama I'm usually a small in Patagonia (5'6", 130lbs, athletic-slim build, waist 25/26) but the size 2 just squeezed the snot out of my thighs and made my booty look like a potato. I'm sizing up! Not sure if that'll help though, as the cut seems to be made for the slender/lanky type build. My figure usually plays well with the slim fit that tapers to the ankles versus the straight leg, so I'll probably try the side sends next. Also, the waist is uncomfortably low (think low rise circa 2005) so keep that in mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential wardrobe piece! I love the happy hikers. I've had the capris for years and they are probably my favorite and most versatile piece of clothing for the summer months. I hate being hot so if I have to dress up these are my go to. The fabric is super water resistant, breathable, light, and yet very durable. The black capris are super easy to dress up. I decided to buy the pants for a trip to Costa Rica last summer (wet season) and they have treated me just as well. I decided to go with a size 2 because I have the capris in size 4 and they are slightly too big so I have to have them tied so they stay on. The size two is a little tighter than I'd like (I think the sizing has changed slightly between different versions) but I am happy that they don't need to be tied. They are just a little tight on my thighs and butt, which is a problem I have with most pants because I have muscular (so yes, large) thighs and butt. They did stretch out a teeny bit once I wore them for a whole day. They dry super quickly, shed water and sweat like magic and seemingly never wrinkle or smell. I plan on wearing them for the southern California section of the PCT this summer for lightweight and cool sun protection. BUY THESE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek and Sweet I bought these for fall and winter and had an opportunity to wear them on a recent unseasonably cool day. I work in a science center and never know what what my work day will bring. On that particular day, I hauled exhibits, attended a business lunch, interacted with the public and sat at my computer. These pants are comfortable but polished, good for certain kinds of business casual settings. One day I'll have to actually go hiking in them but they are comfortable enough that I don't see a problem. I'm a size 10 and the pants fit well. I bought them in two colors and I don't regret my decision.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Travel I bought these pants looking for something with some stretch. They are great for hiking, random bouldering and excellent for long car trips. I recently did a massive road trip and they were perfect. I was able to rinse them off and hang them up at night and the next morning they were dry. I ended up wearing them for almost two weeks straight, and I was bummed that I packed other pants in my pack when I didn't even end up wearing them. The fit seems to be typical for outdoors type clothing. I have some curves so I always have to size up for pants to fit. I typically wear a size 4, waist 27 ( in non-outdoors brand clothing) and ended up buying a size 6 so that the pants can fit my thighs and have a little bit of give/ not be skin tight. They end up being baggier than I wanted, but at least they fit better then if I would have boughten my normal size. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is just the sizing. I understand that the typical outdoor body type in athletic build and mainly stick straight. But it'd be nice to be able to have pants that understand curves.
