Sometimes you need to hit the road and motor along under big skies. For breaking away or just going around the corner, this easygoing polo shirt is made of Merino Daily, our regular-fit, everyday Merino baselayer for all-day comfort and easy care. Merino wool is naturally breathable, regulates body temperature and stretches. It's also wonderfully soft and naturally resists odor. Our fine merino wool is sourced from the grasslands of Patagonia. We slow-wash it for softness and shrink resistance, without the use of chlorine, then blend it with 48% Capilene® recycled polyester for durability, quick dry-times and moisture transfer superior to that of 100% merino. Features include a self-fabric collar for chafe-free comfort and full underarm gussets for unhindered shoulder mobility.
  • Fine merino wool from the grasslands of Patagonia blended with Capilene® recycled polyester for improved wicking, durability and dry time
  • 18.9 micron-gauge yarn; jersey-knit construction
  • Slow-washed without chlorine to prevent shrinkage
  • Full underarm gusset for range of motion and chafe-free comfort
  • 4.1-oz (140-g) 52% chlorine-free merino wool/48% recycled polyester. Fabric is bluesign® approved
  • 141 g (5 oz)
  • Made in Vietnam.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Women's L/S Merino Daily V-Neck T-Shirt is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect layering top or alone I bought this top to take on a trip to Europe and I love it! Was the perfect piece for layering and wearing alone. Fit is spot on with a high v-neck which I prefer. Going to order in more colors!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost perfect... I love Patagonia gear, but at 5'9'' and 140 lbs, I find myself hovering awkwardly between size S and size M... I chose to order this shirt in a S because my nano-puff jacket is this size and fits me relatively well. However, while the torso of this shirt in size S has a lovely, loose fit on me, the sleeves are at least two inches too short. The fabric is great, though. Some may find it itchy if they're not used to Merino wool, but I love it. It is not ultra-light-weight, but would be comfortable for hiking on a cooler day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice 5'4", 118#, chest 34 AA, bought an x-small in Arbor Green. I've worn the shirt once, to work, and it did not itch me at all. The fit was slightly looser than I like, but acceptable. I feel that the color of the shirt is off from how it appears on either of my computer screens; I asked my hubby what color he thought the shirt was and he said grey. I also found the material to be quite thin, almost see through, so you might want to be careful with the lighter colors. Still, overall I am happy with the shirt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So cute, but uncomfortable This shirt is really cute and fits great, but I find it really uncomfortable. Another reviewer said it was smooth, mine feels really itchy and I am not sure I'll be able to wear it. I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it so I am hoping it will soften up after going through the washing machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool Morning Rides I am loving my new Merino top. I normally don't mix my winter gear with my other clothing so MTBing gets the shaft. NO MORE. I bought this top specifically for those cold morning rides and it's a winner. 37 degrees this morning in my Merino wool L/S and Patagonia wind shirt and I was one happy camper. Thanks again Patagonia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional This is the best fitting, lightweight base layer I've slipped into in years. The new merino cap fabric mix creates an exceptionally smooth garment with the weight and hand of wool. But its the cut that's making me so happy...a lot of Patagonia is a tight fit on me for good practical reasons but also because I'm 5'11 and a mid-weight size 12. This is barely loose in a way that still works for layering but is really nice to wear solo. The material, so far, is handling the heat and cold of autumn quite well. Love the gentle v neck. More please.
