Our Nano Puff® Hoody handily manages all the frosty belays, graupel-filled grovel fests and nighttime rope-pulling epics that even the most dedicated climbers can throw at it. It excels as a sleek micro-belay parka and doubles as an insulated jacket on quick alpine dashes. A simple, elasticized hood opening adds thermostat-like warmth, and the low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco—with 55% postconsumer recycled content—traps heat with remarkable efficiency, even when wet. The wind-blocking, moisture-shedding 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish glides effortlessly in your layering system, and a soft, wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage add chin comfort (when all hell’s breaking loose, the little things help). The hoody stuffs into an internal, zippered chest pocket that has a carabiner clip-in loop. It also has two zippered handwarmer pockets, elasticized cuffs and a dual-adjust drawcord hem to seal out wind and seal in warmth.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Women's Nano Puff® Hoody is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy & cozy! I love how lite weight yet warm and cozy the Nano Puff is. I especially like the silver color. It's casual yet sharp. I'm 5'4 with a small frame and weigh 110lbs. The XS fits perfectly, allowing me to wear a light weight long sleeve shirt underneath the jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for SF summer I bought this a month ago and have been wearing it until the recent heat waves in SF. It's prefect warmth for the chilly summer night and the fit was comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for casual and technical wear I originally wanted to buy the nano puff jacket in nouveau green, but my boyfriend convinced me the hood was worth the less exciting colour range. I wasn't sold on the hood until I hiked Dog Mountain in the Columbia Gorge and met a brisk wind on the exposed face of the hike that was determined to chill me to the bone. All my friends were incredibly jealous when I was able to whip out my nano puff, pull the hood up, and feel instantly warm. Despite being low-profile, the nano puff breaks the wind like a sheet of plastic. The cut isn't the most feminine - it's actually kind of boxy, which I was also hesitant about. I've grown to like it because it allows for a great range of motion, and the cut isn't a terrible thing to compromise when the jacket has so many other qualities.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be aware: 3 tries, all failures! A loyal Patagonia customers for many years, I was utterly disappointed by this jacket. In October, I purchased a jacket. After a couple of weeks, the seams at the wrists were unraveling. I exchanged the jacket for a new one in November. Once again, the seams at the front zipper and the wrists were unraveling. Wanted to give Patagonia the benefit of the doubt, I exchanged the jacket for a new one in January. Surprise! A couple of weeks later the seams are… unraveling. I returned the jacket to a Patagonia owned store and asked for a refund. The salesperson denied me a refund arguing that: 1) the jacket is meant to be used as a second layer and hence should never been worn without the protection of a shell (really?) 2) the seams have absolutely no technical purpose, it’s only a design feature (This is not the case according to the product description “Brick quilting pattern with narrow horizontal quilt lines on side panels stabilizes insulation and uses durable thread for abrasion resistance") I had to take the matter with the shop assistant manager who made the same arguments. She went on to inform me that this was a known quality issue and that it was not a big deal, as the jacket’s performance is not being affected. When I asked if she/the staff informs every single buyer to expect the seams to unraveled within a few weeks, she assured me they do. Really? After some more argumentation, I finally got my money back. I am not sure when my trust in Patagonia, its products and staff will be back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite jacket What I like the best about this is how it keeps my neck warm. Some hoods on jackets just don't fit well but this one is spot on! I will probably order it in another color at some point because I expect to be wearing this a lot!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Year-round Jacket My parents gave me the Puff as a law school graduation gift. So much better than a pen/portfolio set. Fit and finish are Patagonia perfect. Thanks Mom and Dad and thank you Patagonia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nano Puff Hoody I bought this to take on a trip, warm, lightweight, multi function. However, before I left on my trip I started wearing it to the gym, hiking, just going to the grocery store. I had to wash it because I'd worn it so much and it came out of the machine looking good as new. Great buy.
