As a sleek micro-belay parka on chilly rock routes or as an insulated jacket during alpine squalls, the Nano Puff® Jacket traps heat and blocks the wind. The 100% recycled polyester shell sheds moisture and fits effortlessly in your layering system, while the low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco—with 55% postconsumer recycled content—warms with remarkable efficiency, even when wet. The shape is sculpted with narrow horizontal quilting on the side panels, and the soft, wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage add chin comfort. The internal zippered chest pocket doubles as a self-stuffsack with a carabiner clip-in loop. Details include two zippered handwarmer pockets, elasticized cuffs and a dual-adjust drawcord hem to seal out wind and seal in warmth.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Insulation

We use PrimaLoft® insulation inside insulated garments for its warmth, compressibility, and soft comfort. While the human body uses energy to stay warm, PrimaLoft insulation uses a patented microfiber structure to help the body retain warmth and conserve energy.

The proprietary ultra-fine fibers of PrimaLoft insulation form a tight collection of air pockets that trap heat from your body and keep the cold out, providing an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. When insulation gets wet, it loses these air pockets and consequently, its insulating properties. PrimaLoft ultra-fine fibers were developed to be water resistant so your insulation stays drier and maintains its insulating properties even when wet.

Women's Nano Puff® Jacket is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 72.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit! I stopped into a Patagonia store since I was in the city and tried this on along with a few other items. I love Patagonia's things but I'm tall (6'1") so I usually have to size up to a large to get the sleeves to be a decent length on me, which results in the body of the jacket being baggy, but lo and behold these sleeves are a decent length for me in the medium size which leaves me room for layering without being oversized. The hem is hip length which is fine for the hiking trips I plan to use this for (it packs up small and light).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great medium jacket Bought this as a medium jacket for everyday wear and I was not disappointed. It is super light, but is a lot warmer than it looks. Perfect for Colorado weather and its rapid temperature changes. I'm 5'0, 100 lbs and XXS fits nicely. Layering a shell on top makes it even more toasty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket is a great investment. I took it with me when visiting Ireland last fall and not only did it keep me warm, it also folded up into a perfect-sized pouch for traveling when not in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Go to Jacket for Active Travel I love my nano puff. The synthetic inside and material together makes for a very light jacket that is still warm and very soft. It also packs down very small, making this a very versatile jacket for travel. In moderate temperatures, I wear this as my main jacket. In cooler temps, I wear this as another layer underneath a warmer Parka. I love the bright colors also, which add a pop of color when it's dreary in winter. My to jacket for travel. I normally wear size 6 (5'8" 135 lb) and size S fits perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of my go-to jackets I love this jacket! This is the first insulated jacket I've purchased and it does a great job keeping me warm and keeping wind out. I use it for belaying and climbing, my only complaint is that I feel the stitching could be better. Little Tuffs of insulation started appearing from the seams after a couple wears, but nothing major. I haven't Ahmad any problems with the zipper. I'm 5'5'' and 120 Ibs, XS Is great with just enough room for layering. Also fits well under other jackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for 21-day Grand Canyon rafting trip I bought this last minute for a three-week river trip and am so glad I did. I wore it almost 24/7. It is indeed water- and wind-resistant. I'm 5'3, 130lbs, 32DD, hourglass shape, and normally wear a 4 or 6 on top. While the XS had a great-looking fit (perfect length in sleeves and torso), I sized up to a S so I could wear some layers underneath without any constriction. The S accomodated two heavyweight merino baselayers and a merino hoody perfectly, without being binding. It worked well under my drysuit and around camp under a down parka. The black didn't show the great deal of schmutz it acquired. I just washed and dried it and it looks great. My only request from Patagonia is to go back to the older sizing where tops weren't so long in the torso. The longer cuts feel a little matronly on me and with super low-cut pants not so faddish, tops don't need to be so long. Thanks!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Jacket...but insulation is coming out I have loved patagonia jackets for years. I got my first nano puff in middle school and it lasted me until my sophomore year of college with no issues. I finally decided to get a new one, and I was super pumped to have a brand new one! After about 5 wears, the insulation started to come out from the seams. It's a bit disappointing considering this is a pretty pricey jacket... I just expected the same quality of my first nano puff. I'm sad, but I've already worn it so I can't return it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inconsistency in fit I ordered a size S in the nano puff and it was VERY tight in the shoulders and arms. I've gotta return it. I have two older nano puffs, size S, that I use for running and they fit perfectly. After I received this one in the mail, I went over to our local outdoor store and tried on three nano puffs in size S and guess what? They all fit. I expect inconsistency in cheap brands - I get it, the factories are spread across several countries and factories sometimes vary in production. However, when I'm spending this kind of money, I expect A) superb construction B) attention to detail, and C) consistent fit across the board. Really disappointed in this issue as I've read other reviews state the same problem.
