The sun/shade line on pitch 13 is reason enough to bring along the Nano Puff® Jacket. As a sleek micro-belay parka on chilly rock routes or as an insulated jacket during wintertime squalls, it traps your heat and blocks the wind. Its 100% recycled polyester shell sheds moisture and glides effortlessly in your layering system, while the low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco—now with 55% postconsumer recycled content, and still the most thermally efficient synthetic insulation available—warms with remarkable efficiency, even when wet. The jacket has a sculpted fit, with narrow horizontal quilting on the shaped side panels, and the soft, wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage add chin comfort. Its internal zippered chest pocket doubles as a self-stuffsack with a carabiner clip-in loop. It also has two zippered handwarmer pockets, elasticized cuffs and a dual-adjust drawcord hem to seal out wind and seal in warmth.
  • Lightweight, 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell and liner fabrics have a DWR (durable water repellent) finish

  • Brick quilting pattern with narrow horizontal quilt lines on side panels stabilizes insulation and uses durable thread for abrasion resistance
  • Center-front zipper has wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Women's Nano Puff® Jacket is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next gen Nano? I love this jacket for all of my outdoor endeavors and love Patagonia as a whole. I have one request. Can you please, please consider making a thigh length version of the Nano Puff jacket or hoodie? Especially in the same fun colors. These days, with some of my endeavors like yoga, I would love a coat of this weight that would be long enough to cover my "assets". There are many similar out there, but the Nano weight is the perfect weight for New England spring and fall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tight sleeves and loose seams When I opened the package and put the jacket on the sleeves were a bit tight and the seams were already coming undone and sticking up. I was so furious that I spent this much money on a jacket that honestly looked like a tacky knock off. I was too frustrated though to go through sending it back and waiting for a new one to come and it possibly getting lost in the mail or something. So I wore it and the seams just kept getting worse. Now because it looks so bad it just sits in my closet. I've had the jacket for 2 years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stitching :( I loved this jacket when I got it and still love it, the only problem is when the seams started unraveling! I loved this jacket but I was afraid that the more I wore it the more it unraveled. I didn't know how to fix it because it continues to happen. Great jacket, just maybe needs a little more redesign on the stitching.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best most practical jacket This jacket is worth the money. I have had this jacket for 3 year now, and wear it virtually everyday fall through spring and it is as good as new. It washes easily, packs small, and provides great warmth in 32-60 weather even with wind, and I am cold blooded. If I layer a cashmere or wool sweater underneath I can get into the mid 20's. I am 5'7" 115 and wear an XS, for bulkier layering I would need a S, but slim fit sweater can fit. I try to sell this jacket to everyone I meet and have even purchased for my kids...its literally the only jacket my son will wear.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fit is way off for me I wanted to love this jacket. However, the fit is way off and I regret it for that reason. I am 5'2'' and usually a size 8, larger chest (34 E) about 140lb. Because I have a larger chest, I sized up to a larger (I tried on the Medium and the large). The medium was very tight in the arm pits/upper sleves, so I sized up to the large so that I could layer a medium weight sweater underneath. I received the large as an unreturnable gift, left on a three week trip with it the next day and here are my thoughts. Typical great patagonia construction. I love that it can be crushed into a small stuff sack (would be a nice addition to the product, by the way) for travel. Robust to handle a variety of conditions. Washes and dries like a dream. Keeps you warm while damp - all that great stuff. For me the sleeves are at least 2 inches too long - so I have to cuff them but due to the slippery fabric they rarely hold (because it wasn't meant to be cuffed). In wet weather I ended up with really damp sleeves because I couldn't keep them under my rain jacket. The body of the jacket around the hips and waist is large and lets a lot of air in. The cinch falls at my hips so when cinched to keep the cold out, it works it way up to my waist creating a weird bunch. At the same time, shoulder width is perfect - hitting right at my break of my arms. But the arm holes are again a bit pinched as are the upper arm sleeves and while I can layer under it (and have to because it is so drafty from the bottom), it is not very comfortable and looks kind of sloppy (slouched cuffs, baggy bottom, tighter arms). I wanted the patagonia quality, company, and product, but should have gone with my gut that they aren't sizing for women like me on this product. Recommend careful sizing if you have a larger chest and careful consideration of sleeve length (are you willing to have cuffed sleeves or super long sleeves) if you typically order petite and especially if you anticipate wet conditions and layering under a waterproof layer. I cannot say whether I would recommend or comment on sizing because I found it so unbalanced. If it fits you, you'll be happy, I guess!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit. I have this as a layering item when the temps go below zero as well as a casual jacket. I like the fact that it is not bulky and looks good even if I am just commuting to work. If the afternoon gets arm, it breaths and keeps me from getting overheated. Packs down small in a stuff sack for backpacking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Jacket!! I don't ever write reviews, but I had to for this jacket because I absolutely love it! It's flattering, lightweight, and the perfect warmth for Vancouver Island, where I live. I was worried it wouldn't be warm enough because it is synthetic rather than down, but I've worn this jacket in -2 degree Celcius weather with a long sleeved layer underneath, and as long as I was moving around, I was fine. It's also perfect for the +5 degree weather that we usually experience for the majority of the fall/winter. I'm 5'7'' and about 135 lbs and I got a size small. I can still fit stuff underneath, but it isn't too bulky that I can't fit a shell overtop as well. I found the cut to be a bit more flattering than the down sweater, and also a bit longer, which was great for me. Now I want to get more of these in every colour and one for my husband too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, Attractive, and Long Lasting! I bought this jacket because I live in the central part of Virginia, meaning it gets particularly cold over here from where I was before. This jacket has helped me get through 3 winters happily and it retains most of my heat. If I'm going to be outside for a while, I'll put on a Spider fleece jacket underneath, and this slides over comfortably. It's very sleek, flattering on my hourglass shape, and I get compliments on it often! So glad I bought this jacket 3 years ago. I've only ever snagged a thread once, it's held up otherwise! Couldn't imagine life without it.
