Women's Sideshore Tankini is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 10219.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultimate surf top Constantly searching for the ultimate top to surf in and this is IT. Agree w/ other reviewers that the roaming pads are an issue, but the rest of it is so good I'm still giving it 5 stars. Pros: Coverage for all parts of your back that can't be reached for sunblock, frees the shoulders for paddling, etc., protects from rib rash, offers padding for nips, and most importantly -no design features in the front that result in sternum/xiphoid bruising (you know, like cross-overs, knots, rings and other cute design details that feel fine at the beginning of your session and then are killing your chest the next day). Much cuter and comfier than your typical ss/ls rashie. I've got broad shoulders and torso (38B) and usually wear L, but got this in M - fits perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Close to perfect This is a really soft, comfortable, athletic top. The fit is great - a little loose around the waist but not baggy, more of a rashguard fit - and the high neck and racerback are very flattering. It doesn't have that "mom" look that some tankini styles do (and I say that as a mom of two myself) but definitely like you can get out and play in it. I do agree, however, that the cups are problematic. They should be sewn in and they should be thicker or smoother or something. It's a bit awkward looking because the fabric of the top is a great quality but quite thin so any wrinkles in the cups appear to be lumps and bumps on your body showing through. I'm going to take mine out and try to iron them but I don't know if it will help as they seem to just rumple back up every time I put on or take off the top. If I can, I may try to stitch them to the inner lining but it would be a perfect 10 if I didn't have to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, but.... Totally agree with the previous reviewer. This suit would be perfect if only the removable pads didn't move around all the time. They are thin and much smaller than the opening that holds them, so they are constantly having to be messed with. Otherwise, I love this suit. It's long and a tiny bit loose around the middle. Athletic, yet a little forgiving for those of us without a completely flat stomach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Patagonia, are you reading this? Patagonia, I love you. I have loved you since high school. I have old fleeces and water shorts from decades ago. I continue to buy new products and love them as well. I have never asked you for anything. The time has come. Please stop making the pads in women's bathing suits removable. Sew them in. When they are removable, all they do is get all balled and twisted up and make me resent the bathing suit I once loved. Most women want light padding. Maybe make certain bathing suits without padding if some of the population disagrees with me. But I am begging you, sew the bathing suit pads in please.
