Odor Resistant

Polygiene® odor control permanently protects your garments from smelling like a middle school locker room. Sweat itself is odorless, but it creates the conditions that bacteria need to multiply, and some of those bacteria produce odors. Polygiene permanent odor control stops the growth of odor-causing bacteria on fabrics, so you can wear more and wash less.

Active only on the fabric surface, Polygiene permanent odor control does not interfere with perspiration or with the skin’s natural bacterial flora. Polygiene particles are more than 100 times larger than nanoparticles and therefore are too large to penetrate to the skin’s barrier. Polygiene-treated fabrics have received Medical Class 1 approval in Europe, the same class that includes bandages.

Women's Strider Pro Shorts - 2 1/2" is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seriously amazing Wore these this am for the 1st time for a 22 mile training run. Was a little apprehensive to wear something new on such a long run, but these did not disappoint. Pockets a plenty to hold GU, hydration tabs and my keys. Super light weight, did not ride up at all. After one run, these are now my favorite shorts. Note: I initially purchased a XS and had to exchange for a small (5'4", 110 lbs).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wahoo! I bought these because of the pockets and it was a gamble because I used these shorts for my first marathon (and only got to test them during my taper week). Let's just say they were amazing! Super lightweight and breezy material it does curl up on itself on the front of thighs but it didn't chafe so I wasn't concerned. The pockets held all of my gels/food for the race and chapstick/sunscreen . The back zippered pocket held my iphone 5 for tunes. I ran a sweaty marathon in these with no chafing (I was literally sweating bullets and pouring water on myself at every aid station). Stoked for more long trail runs in these! I picked up a size XS I am 5'2" 125. The liner was snug but I preferred it like that because it didn't chafe like my other running short shorts liners which are too loose!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just OK I really wanted to love these shorts. The pockets, the looks, the color, are all fabulous. They look to be of high quality. However, after a few different runs ranging from 6-10 miles, in city and on trail, I do not find them as great as I thought they would be. I am 5'4", 115 lbs, and usually wear a size small in all things running related. The first problem I noticed was that the built-in underwear/liner was too small. It rode up in all the wrong places. Secondly, the openings for the legs were not wide enough or the side slits not high enough, which causes the front of the shorts to fold up for almost the entire run. Not a huge deal, but I did get chafing where these rubbed against my inner thighs, and I've NEVER chafed from shorts before. It also somewhat chafed inside the waistband. Sadly, these shorts will probably only be used for more casual activities, and not for running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for long distance running These shorts are great for long distance running. They have a ton of stash pockets for my Honey Stinger chews and gels, my phone, and whatever else I need for my run. They are also very lightweight, dry quick, and have built in underwear!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely perfect running shorts While running along the Embarcadero a little over a week ago, another runner passed me. I noticed that not only were her shorts really pretty and flattering, she was carrying her phone in a horizontal back pocket. I caught up with her and asked her who made the shorts. "Patagonia! Lots of pockets!" she said. I thanked her and let her continue her run. When I got home, I looked up the shorts and saw that they seemed to be just what I was looking for - shorts with enough pockets that would carry me through a marathon, holding my phone, my sports beans, and my id and credit cards, allowing me to run without an accessory belt. For the first time ever, I bought clothes online, because I wanted to try these immediately. I'm glad I did! I wore these shorts for an eight mile run this morning, and they are absolutely perfect. The pockets are well-placed and easy to reach. I carried my iPhone 6 in the horizontal zippered pocket, and the positioning was perfect - it never bounced up and down, nor against my back, nor did it weigh the shorts or waistband down - I never felt it at all. The shorts themselves were both well-fitting and light, and the silky breathable fabric did not irritate my sensitive skin (abraded from another pair of running shorts). Actually, it felt as if I was wearing nothing - in a good way. And they're also so pretty! I can't even imagine wearing other running shorts now. My only regret is not choosing the blue with yellow detail to match the Swedish flag, since I'm about to run in the Stockholm Marathon! (For reference, I'm 5'1", 100 lbs, and bought the XXS.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great long run shorts I am 5'3", 103lbs and bought the xs. They fit perfectly. These are my shortest running shorts that are not 'booty shorts' and they are an awesome fit. The mesh vent panel side slits are great for range of motion. My longest run in them was actually my first run, which in hind-sight was possibly a bad idea. However, I did 15 miles on the treadmill and did not have a single issue! I even tried out the pockets and they did really well holding half of a sandwich. While my two 'complaints' did not cause any issues at all, they are personal preferences. I prefer a wide, yoga style waistband and a 'never end' draw string. These shorts have a brushed elastic waist and a (thankfully) exterior drawcord. Doing 15 miles in these shorts with no issues, I certainly can not dock a star for anything about these shorts! I look forward to using them on longer runs this summer.
