bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Women's Tribune Pants - Long is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizing didn't work I am 5'11" 170lbs with a muscular build (read: small waist, muscular legs). I was psyched to see straight forward hiking pants in tall. I ordered size 10: the pants were long enough and fit on the waist. However they were very slim through the thighs, making the fabric pull and stretch looking weird. These would probably work for a slimmer legged person, but if you have bigger legs maybe try for a different style of pants such as the RPS Rock Pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around great pants So far I've been very happy with these pants. I'm 5'7 and I purchased the size 8 in 34 inches which makes them long enough to wear boots with. The stretch and the durability of the pants make them versatile. I've used them for backpacking, cycling, and plan on using them for snowshoeing. So far the fabric has been water resistant, in a light rain for about 4 hours they remained dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wore these pants on a warm 10-mile hike in the Sierras and barely even noticed them. They stretched beautifully for high-stepping (I can't wait to try climbing in them), stayed put (no chafing), and dried quickly after my lake-wading dog shook all over me. I came back to buy another pair and was saddened to find that my size is sold out. I'd love two or three more pairs! They will be my go-to hiking pants from now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only pant you ever need These may be the greatest pants of all time. I ordered these after being fed up with Prana pants never being long enough. I was so excited to see that they made these in a long inseam. I am 5'10" and they fit absolutely perfect. They are so comfortable whether I am climbing, working, or just wearing them on any regular day. I would even go as far to say that they are more comfortable than yoga pants! I have both the khaki and green color. I wish they had them in some more earthy tones as well. Maybe a deep red? I will definitely order more if there were more colors available. Definitely the greatest pants I have gotten to date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traveling in India W's Tribune Pants - 34" are perfect for tall women, the first pair of Patagonia pants that fit perfectly. They're comfortable, dry quickly, have a simple draw cord for adjusting the waist and are versatile. I bought them for a month long trip to India with one carry on suitcase (MLC) which started in the hot, humid south and ended in the Himalayas. In India it is important to dress modestly. I found the fabric sufficiently light to help me bear the heat, tough enough to handle hiking through humid forests and rough mountain terrains, and paired with a simple tunic they were appropriate for visiting temples. When birding in the cold mountains (below freezing in the mornings) I simply added long underwear. I wore them for days on end and they always looked neat and tidy, even keeping the center crease. Tribune Pants proved perfect for this trip. I will definitely buy another pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME stretchy pants! Of all the hiking pants I've ever bought, these are by far the best. I can't believe how stretchy they are. You can bend over and squat without the waist sliding down one bit! I think they'll be great for climbing too, given the amazing range of motion. I'm a tall girl (5'11", 145lbs) with most of my height in my legs. The 10 fit me really well, though it wouldn't hurt if they were an inch longer in the inseam. Thank you, Patagonia, for finally making tall pants! Please never stop. And don't be afraid to add another inch to that inseam. We can always hem, but we can never make short pants longer. Also, I'd love to see these in a dark brown or dark grey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Pants These are terrific pants for travel, hiking, in-town biking, walking, and more. Great fit and stretch without bagging. Cargo pockets are far enough down on the legs to look trim. Extremely comfortable even on long flights. Light rain just beads on the fabric. I've bought 2 pairs. Patagonia: please don't change anything about the fit, but it would be nice to have a pair in light or dark khaki.
