Additional Information

Our jack-of-all-things-alpine, the Triolet Jacket leverages waterproof/breathable 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric in a feature-rich shell to deliver versatile, durable performance in heavy snow, driving wind and rain.

Read More Close
Born from tradition and infused with modernity, our Triolet Jacket maintains its mountain focus the way a hard shell should: through heavy snow, driving wind and pouring rain. The 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric features a waterproof/breathable membrane bonded between a robust inner lining and a durable polyester outer shell; a DWR (durable water repellent) finish further fends off wet weather. The helmet-compatible, 2-way-adjustable hood with a laminated visor blends protection with optimal visibility; traditional cord locks in the hood and hem allow for quick adjustment; an interior stretch mesh catch-all pocket stashes spare gloves; two Napoleon chest and two handwarmer pockets stay clear of harness and pack lines. Other detailing includes low-bulk, watertight, coated zippers on the pit zips and external pockets; low-profile cuff closures; full-reach gusseted underarm panels for mobility; and an elasticized pant attachment strap at the inside lower back to eliminate gaps on powder days.
  • 3-layer durably waterproof/breathable and windproof 100% polyester GORE-TEX® fabric for rugged protection
  • Re-engineered Optimal Visibility Hood with laminated visor is helmet-compatible and 2-way-adjustable to provide good visibility in poor conditions
  • Two Napoleon chest pockets with watertight zips and zipper garages; two welted handwarmer pockets stay clear of a harness or pack waistbelt; interior stretch catch-all pocket
  • Watertight 2-way pit zips in gusseted underarm panels let you reach without raising the body of the jacket
  • Low-profile cuffs use a tapered tab hook-and-loop closure for a tight wrist seal
  • Elasticized strap at low back connects to any Patagonia® Snow pants and select Alpine pants to prevent jacket from riding up
  • Dual-adjust drawcord hem seals out weather

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

The construction of 3-Layer GORE-TEX® Products is unique. A 3-layer GORE-TEX® membrane is sandwiched between a soft outer material and a knit polyester backing material that increases durability. These garments keep you comfortable and protected from the elements without adding extra bulk or weight.

The GORE-TEX® membrane has 9 billion pores per square inch, with each pore 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet. These tiny holes are too small for water and wind to pass through from the outside. But these same pores are large enough for moisture vapor to pass through, so your body's perspiration is able to escape and you won’t feel clammy or uncomfortable inside your jacket.

Women's Triolet Jacket is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the cost This will very likely be the last raincoat I need for a very long time. Super functional and well constructed....totally waterproof!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice shell My only complaint is that the fit runs big, other than that a great coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great rain coat! This jacket is nice and warm as well as keeping me dry in the rain. In warm weather it would be too warm. The teal color I bought also shows the dirt more than a darker color but washes easily. I have washed it twice and the rain still beads up on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket I bought this primarily to mountain bike in. It is such a sweet jacket I wear it anytime there is any chance of precip. I sized down because I don't where a ton of layers when riding, but my down puffy still fits under it. Seriously love this. The only thing I would request would be lined pockets

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for powder days I bought this at the beginning of ski season since I wanted a waterproof and windproof shell to wear for skiing in all kinds of conditions. This jacket is perfect! It's just a Gore-Tex shell so I'm able to layer underneath it depending on the conditions. It's a beast on storm skiing days--I don't feel cold or wet. The hood is compatible with my helmet. And the neck doesn't get too tight when the jacket is fully zipped up and hood is up. On warmer spring skiing days, I just wear a t-shirt underneath and open up the vent zips in the arms. That being said, I sized up so there's enough room to layer if you need. Normally I wear a XS and I purchased the S. I'm glad I did because I can layer a Nano Air jacket underneath and not suffocate. The only downside is there is no powder skirt for those inevitable tumbles in fresh powder. But the jacket is long enough that you can cinch it up at the waist if you need to. All in all, this is a great jacket that you can do almost anything and everything with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I wanted! I love everything about this jacket! The XL fits perfectly without being bulky...and even gives a bit of waist definition. The sleeves are plenty long enough for my arms, the length is great too. It has kept me dry and warm with just a base layer through a lot of variable weather conditions while skiing. I would definitely buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect weight Bought this specifically to spring ski in Utah. Temps in 40-50's. Perfect with light layer underneath. Sleeves a little long, but so goes all Patagonia w/me. I'm a size 8-10, this is a Med. maybe a little long for cycling, haven't tried yet.
