Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Women's Waffle Henley is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfy I've had this for about a month. It's crazy comfy. It does run large. I bought another one in a smaller size so I can have one for fashion and one for when I'm trying to look like I don't want any human interaction. It serves two purposes for my anti social and social self.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and versatile I just got this a few weeks ago and I've worn it 3 times already (to a hockey game, hiking and just for casual). I like the longer length for wearing under a vest. Warm, super comfortable, very versatile piece.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Much too long I’m nearly 5’5” and these shirts were much too long to be flattering or functional. At 142 pounds, 38C chest, medium fit fine in the body but sleeves also came down over my fingers. Also, the pink is too cool and muddy a color to really look good on anyone with a neutral or warm skin tone. Fabric was good quality, but these are going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it so much I bought a second one! This is the perfect length, thickness and texture! I seriously went back & bought in another color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable but long I have been trying to find a replacement for my favorite Patagonia shirt ever--a 100% cotton waffle-weave from years ago. I like this shirt, but it's a blend and is not as soft. It's also pretty long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps me warm on fall Alaskan nights This is a great fall long sleeve that I can see keeping me warm as I transition into the ski season. I had it for work on chilly coastal days in Alaska and it kept my temperature regulated in bone chilling winds and rains as well as in temperatures well below zero. I like the loose fit so for me I would rank it as runs "right" (I don't like my clothes skin tight or super baggy) and looks super cute with my puff vest!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice color I like the fabric. It is a nice weight and feel. It gets 3 stars because it is too long. It hits me at an unattractive length. I kept it because I loved the color. I suspect it will be relegated to a sleep shirt and won't make it out of the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The softest waffle I've ever owned This top is the most luxuriously soft waffle I've ever owned. It's like being wrapped in a waffle baby blanket. I seriously want to be in it all the time. I bought a size small, though I am an XS by the sizing chart, and I am glad I did. I am 5'5" and around 110 lbs, but I have a long arms. So usually I sacrifice a more slim fit in order to get a longer sleeve length. I am the sort of person who loves stretching her sleeves over her hands, and with an XS I feel like the sleeves aren't quite long enough. I love the fit in the Small. I can layer easily under and over it. It is hip length and the sleeves end right at my wrist, with room to stretch them. The waffle does get a bit stretched in the elbow, while wearing it, however, this fabric has such beautiful retention that it seems to heal itself; I am not left with elbow bulge for long. It washes very well, and dries without shrinking in the dryer, on low heat. I have tried to hang dry this top, but I don't recommend it. Here's why. If I hang dry on a hanger, even a padded one, it gets hanger marks. If I hang it over a hanger it's better, but still creases. And on a line outside, pinned upside down, still creases on the hemline. Also it takes FOREVER to get all the way dry. So unfortunately I have given up on line/hang drying and dry in the dryer. Storing this top is also problematic. Even fully dried it will get hanger marks on a hanger. Folded perfectly in a drawer, it gets creased... So I just wear it a lot to avoid my frustration. Even with all that I want another one. It's so very soft, and the green one is beautiful! This is one of the most comfortable pieces of casual wear I own. And I am in love.
