Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Carston straight-lined the bunny hill on his first run. From that point on, he was hooked. The cliffs of the Wasatch provided a comprehensive education, as he says, “in the fields of human kinematics and gravitational physics.” One of the finest all-around skiers in the freeride scene, he’s currently at work on a new film with Sweetgrass Productions.

Home is the burly backcountry of Wyoming, but skiing takes Trevor from Alaska to Argentina and many other fine stashes in between. Though his focus is progressive freeskiing, he takes a more holistic approach than most – designing skis, exploring uncharted ski territory, spreading joy and love, and coaching young skiers in Jackson Hole. “Those kids,” he says, “have inspired me on so many levels.”

David’s life-long dedication to skiing began at age 8 when he realized skiing wasn’t a once-a-year activity, but something to do whenever he had free time. For years he skied throughout North America until the desire for steeper and bigger lines led him to Chamonix, France. Since then he’s skied the Alps as well as descents in Norway, Peru, Bolivia and Antarctica.
