Patagonia Palo Alto Presents: Two Community Events

CELEBRATE NATIONAL ARBOR DAY
FRIDAY, APRIL 26, 4-6PM

Our City Forest will join us on Arbor Day to celebrate, appreciate and build awareness for our urban ecosystem. Stop by to learn about increasing greenery, improving walkability and moving towards a zero-waste, plastic-free life.

We’ll also have free face painting for the kids, giveaways and refreshments.

CLIMATE CHANGE – MORE THAN AN ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGE MONDAY, APRIL 29, 6-8pm

Andrew Guzman is an author, economist and professor of law at UC Berkeley. His new book, Overheated: The Human Cost of Climate Change, takes climate change out of the realm of scientific abstraction, shifting the discussion toward its devastating impact on human societies. Join us as Professor Guzman applies his work to our own region’s role in solving the climate crisis. Palo Alto Mayor Gregory Scharff will introduce him, and after his talk we’ll discuss ways we can make our area economically, environmentally and socially healthier and more resilient. This event is free and open to the public.

We’ll have complimentary refreshments and wine tastings by Bluebird Wines, a member of 1% for the Planet.
