General Summary:

The Dealer Service Representative is responsible for supporting the wholesale account base by building and maintaining sustainable, reciprocal relationships with both Patagonia dealers and sales representatives. The position requires strong phone communication, organization and computer skills, which are needed to be an advocate for and consultant to the dealer base.  Seasonal position expected to last Sept 2014-Jan 2015.

Essential Job Functions:

• Sell ATS (Available-To-Sell) by answering incoming phone calls. 

• Work with Dealers and Sales Reps to minimize order revisions and cancellations.  Requires understanding of order maintenance and order revisions as they pertain to the wholesale business model.

• Work with Dealers to maintain preseason order base, assist in inventory management by moving revenue from oversold styles to styles with ATS.

• Contact Dealers and Sales Reps in regard to backordered products and cancelled items. Run and distribute backorder reports.

• Assist and support the credit department with credit hold accounts.

• Provide Return Authorizations to dealers with explanations of reason for returns.

• Contact for Dealer Employee Purchase programs.

• Work with Dealers and Sales Reps to implement Patagonia terms and conditions attached to wholesale orders.

• Represent/exemplify Patagonia’s core beliefs when communicating with wholesale accounts

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

• Patagonia product knowledge required.

• Excellent customer service and sales skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong typing (40 wpm minimum) and ten key skills.

• Strong follow-through and attention to detail.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Organizational skill a must

• Effectively prioritize workload

• Ability to write with professionalism

• Ability to multi-task
