The most versatile H2No® Performance Standard outerwear system designed for cold-weather fishing. The snap-out Nano Puff® Hoody can be worn alone as can the exterior shell. Wear both pieces combined for extreme cold-weather protection.

Rain, sun, snow, wind: If you don’t like spring weather on the Olympic Peninsula, just wait 15 minutes. But don’t stop fishing. Our 3-in-1 River Salt Jacket lets you cast and swing through it all in luxurious comfort. The outer shell is made from H2No® Performance Standard 4-layer polyester microfiber with a waterproof/breathable barrier and NanoSphere® DWR (durable water repellent) finish – the same fabric we use for our toughest waders. Three TPU-coated, water-repellent front zip pockets hold fly boxes, while the new waterproof, corrosion-resistant YKK® Vislon® Aquaguard main zipper holds back the weather. The vented, fully adjustable hood stays in place even at high boat speeds. Inside, a Nano Puff® Hoody (insulated with 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation) now keeps you warm to the top of your noggin and snaps out to be worn alone when the deluge lets up. Put it all together and you have a fly-fishing jacket that helps you keep up with weather conditions – no matter how fast they change.

Weatherproof

Patagonia developed the 4-layer fabric construction for our waders to increase breathability and abrasion resistance, move moisture away from the body, and decrease the weight.

Our exterior fabrics are densely woven 100% polyester microfibers for durability and puncture resistance. On one side we apply our H2No® waterproof coating for waterproof/breathable performance. On the other side we apply a Hydrophilic laminate that pulls moisture away from the body so it can be passed out through the exterior shell.

To protect the hydrophilic laminate we use a soft polyester tricot lining that increases abrasion resistance yet maintains a soft, supple drape.
Finally, we apply a DWR (durable water repellent) treatment as the first line of defense in keeping these waders waterproof.

Insulation

PrimaLoft

We use PrimaLoft® insulation inside insulated garments for its warmth, compressibility, and soft comfort. While the human body uses energy to stay warm, PrimaLoft insulation uses a patented microfiber structure to help the body retain warmth and conserve energy.

The proprietary ultra-fine fibers of PrimaLoft insulation form a tight collection of air pockets that trap heat from your body and keep the cold out, providing an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. When insulation gets wet, it loses these air pockets and consequently, its insulating properties. PrimaLoft ultra-fine fibers were developed to be water resistant so your insulation stays drier and maintains its insulating properties even when wet.
