The Baby Hi-Loft Down Sweater Hoody is our warmest down jacket for babies. It's made of a highly wind-resistant polyester shell with a Deluge® (durable water repellent) finish and 600-fill-power premium European goose down insulation.
Simply put, the Hi-Loft Down Sweater Hoody is the warmest down jacket we make for babies. The totally wind-resistant and super-durable shell is made of 1.4-oz 20-denier polyester mini-ripstop and lined with 2-oz polyester plain weave, both with a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The lofty, ultra-cozy warmth comes from 600-fill-power premium European goose down insulation that unpacks from small spaces with its shape intact. Cold season amenities include a quilted 3-panel hood; easy-entry, full-length zipper with wind flap and zipper garage to eliminate chin chafe; two zippered handwarmer pockets with reflective pulls; elasticized back hem; spandex binding around hood and sleeve cuff to seal out chill. 100% Traceable Down Insulation
Patagonia 100% Traceable Down provides the highest assurance of animal welfare in the apparel industry. All of the down in all of our down products can be traced back to birds that were never force-fed and never live-plucked. How do we know? We hired an independent third-party expert to trace and verify our down supply chain from farm to jacket – and every step in between. Patagonia is the only brand that uses 100% Traceable Down. DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.
