The better, more durable, and progressive workwear Rubicon Pants now feature insulation in critical areas for more warmth and riding performance, even in the foulest conditions. Built to our H2No® Performance Standard for waterproof/breathable protection.

Burly shop pants for descent-oriented ventures - minus the hammer loops. Our updated Insulated Rubicons have a durable, 2-layer H2No® Performance Standard waterproof/breathable, 100% recycled polyester shell for excellent resistance to abrasion and gravity-oriented causes, and a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish to shed moisture when you're wallowing in thigh-high pow. Lightweight, highly compressible yet warm 60-g Thermogreen® insulation adds warmth for cold descents. The waist has a soft, brushed-tricot lining that wicks moisture and internal adjustability for a custom fit. Above the knees, the interior is lined with brushed polyester mesh for light insulation and efficient wicking; lower legs lined with slick tricot mesh. Mesh-lined vents keep your temperature regulated. Articulated knees won't bind in drop-knee turns; scuff guards protect from abrasion; and gaiters keep the snow out. Loop on the rear yoke connects to the powder skirt on any Patagonia® snow jacket. Two handwarmers, two back seat, and a thigh cargo pocket keep you organized. Includes an embedded RECCO® avalanche rescue reflector. With a highly articulated fit. Inseam (size M) is 32 1/2".
  • Durable 2-layer recycled polyester plain weave with H2No® Performance Standard provides waterproof/breathable protection; strategically placed 60-g Thermogreen® insulation stays warm even when wet; slick taffeta lining ensures ease of movement with layers
  • Waist details: brushed tricot lining wicks moisture; adjustable elastic tabs customize fit; two-button closure, belt loops and zip fly

Weatherproof

2-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics are completely waterproof, windproof and breathable.

Designed for a wide range of uses, from backpacking to snowboarding, 2-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics utilize a taffeta or mesh lining rather than a bonded scrim to protect the waterproof/breathable barrier. The lining increases the garments wicking ability, durability and next-to-skin comfort.

2-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics are coated with DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish that repels light rain and snow. In conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

All products bearing the H2No mark have been vigorously tested for durability in our Killer Wash.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.
